The only glitch that I do not approve is the inclusion of the CLEAN versions, as I find this totally unnecessary. Most of the second disc in this volume hasn’t aged too well in time, and there’s not a lot I choose to come back to these days, but I’ve chosen another solid hit from Sigala to be the standout from this disc. The presentation of each release has evolved notably over time: from 1986 through to 2013, all double and triple CD sets were released in chubby Jewel cases which could hold up to 6 discs. It became the first volume in the series to feature music from Luis Fonsi, DJ Khaled, Liam Payne (as a solo artist), Harry Styles (as a solo artist), Camila Cabello (as a solo artist), J Hus, RAYE (as a lead artist) and HAIM (as a lead artist). A handful of artists pop up on more than one occassion, including Justin Bieber, whose three Top 5 hits from 2017 make the cut.Drake was also overlooked along with omissions from Charlie Puth, Captain SKA, Imagine Dragons, Major Lazer, ZAYN and others.

The Now Yearbook series continues both forwards, with Now Yearbook 1985 issued in November 2022, and backwards, with the release of Now Yearbook 1979 in September 2022 (an Extra followed in October).
