If Jack wants to play with a ‘girly’ toy or Olivia with a ‘boys’ toy, then they can do – I am not going to stop them. She happily accepts and slides to the truck, accidentally bumping it and causing the ice cream to land on her. We love Num Noms in this house – you only need to look at our previous reviews to see that – and I have always mentioned how I do not make my kids play with gender specific toys. Take a Num, the outer, soft, squishy, hollow characters, and nestle it on top of a Nom, the inner, hard-shelled characters that are either motorised to scoot around, or filled with flavoured lip gloss.

I washed the bowl really well and gave it back to her to play with the truck, the rest of the lip gloss stuff I just put up for her to play with supervised. Unfortunately the momentum sends her flying out, inches from the Lip Gloss Truck; which then begins to roll backwards towards the edge of the table. All in all, this is a toy I would definitely supervise for the lipgloss portion bc its messy and hello!The only big negative and the reason I would not let my daughter do it by herself is because it can get messy and very hard to clean off. It’s easy for children to do, and they can spoon it into the plunger to make it come out like Mr Whippy. But they were very happy when they were sent a bundle of Num Noms goodies to start their collection. The glitter lipgloss truck is perfectly equipped: you start off by taking out 1/8 of the base lipgloss and putting it into the mixing bowl with the spatula. You will need scissors to get it all out from the packaging, but that seems to be standard for most toys. The girls loved making their own and showing their lip gloss off to their Dad who arrived home not long afterwards, and to their Nain who was there at the time, visiting them.We loved how the playset looked and my daughter was really excited to get it out of the box and start playing. But, my daughter makes a thing of lip gloss and use half of it and then wants me to clean it out a week or so later so she can make another thing of it. Just a lot of mess, clean up is a pain, lip gloss is sticky on when you put it on, and they don't play with it as much as their other stuff. and she loves make her own lip gloss (which I find this to be messy and the lip gloss is so so; sticky).
