I loved the plot, because not only were we watching as Meredith and Witt fell for each other over the course of a week, the majority of the plot was about the characters engaging in a game of assassin. I agree on everything and also that they fell in love REALLY fast, but as you said, that worked in this story.

The mix of budding romance, competitive hijinks, a close-knit circle, as well as dealing with loss make for a satisfying read. If you're looking for something that has a sugary sweet, with depth in flavor like a well made a sea salt caramel cupcake vibe.I'm a huge fan of making playlists for every feeling, season and reason; I always say that music is like reading for the soul. But when Meredith forms an assassin alliance with a cute groomsman, she finds herself getting distracted. After Claire’s death, her sister, Meredith, isolated herself from everyone except her boyfriend, Ben Fletcher. and the family bonds- omg i’m a sucker for found family but this is literally a real family and it gives you everything you want, wise but funny grandparents, dramatic aunts, loud and joyful kids, drunk groomsmen. At first, I really liked Meredith's character, because she was actually outgoing and all that, but then she just grew whiny and boring and I hated that.

This is YA and it definitely reads that way, there isn't a whole lot of substance but it gave REALLY good fluff and sometimes that exactly what you are looking for in a beach read.
