About this deal

The fact I saw it when it was over two years old and we've only had one sequel suggests the franchise didn't really take off, which was a surprise – there may be hundreds of books like this out there, but this was a friendly and enjoyable one, and for once not something so daft and gaudy people over a certain age were excluded. Agent 9 has to learn to breathe and pause before acting here… because she destroys a lot and makes her job harder. Nine - along with a robotic partner named FiN - is all that stands between King Crab and his diabolical plans to melt the polar ice caps and build a massive water park. But when bumbling supervillain King Crab manages to overtake S4 headquarters, there is no one else to turn to.

But when bumbling supervillain King Crab manages to overtake S4 head quarters, there is no one else to turn to. She and FIN race to town to intercept the shipment of the heat ray and figure out a plan to rescue all of the other Super-Secret Spy Service agents. Your selection was perfect for our children and what really made the difference was your ability to engage with each child, discuss their interests and help them to choose a suitable book based on your extensive knowledge of the books you were selling.Readers will be sure to keep an eye out for 9’s next adventure, but they’ll definitely want to give this first romp a few rereads in the meantime. But when the rest of the service is taken hostage, Nine is the only one left to battle the evil King Crab and stop his plans to take over the world. Feline Super Spy Agent 9 can be a bit of a disaster when it comes to foiling super villains - there always seems to be a trail of destruction in their wake.

I'm looking forward to seeing further Agent 9 adventures; at a time when interest in graphic novels is rising, this series should find lots of new fans. Nine - along with a robotic partner named FiN -is all that stands between King Crab and his diabolical plans to melt the polar ice caps and build a massive water park. His other published works include Gabby and Gator (Yen Press), Beep and Bah (Carolrhoda), Pigs and a Blanket (Disney/Hyperion), and When Pigs Fly (Disney/Hyperion). Your words, like your reviews, bring books to life and give them a voice before the front cover is even turned. I’ve never read any of James Brooks Bird and Squirrel comics, but if Agent 9 has shown me anything it's that this author clearly has talent in creating fun stories that will definitely enchant kids and even bring out a smile to adults who are kids at heart.Agent 9 will no doubt be relatable to many kids and even some parents for her suave but also adorable dialogue that will make anyone reading smile. Nine--along with a robotic partner named FiN--is all that stands between King Crab and his diabolical plans to melt the polar ice caps and build a massive water park. Agent 9, an impulsive feline agent, and her robot fish sidekick, FIN, must save the world from King Crab, the super villain, in this new high octane graphic novel. Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example.

When Agent 9’s boss, 0, and sidekick, Fin, are captured by King Crab, it’s up to Agent 9 to save them and save the day.

But if you have a library full of kids who loved Investigators, they are going to love this one too.

Recent escapades include using a cargo ship to stop an armoured truck and deliberately causing an avalanche to stop a diamond smuggling operation. He lives with his family in a secret base hidden on an ordinary street somewhere in Southern California. Ross Welford introduces Time Travelling with a Tortoise, the sequel to Time Travelling with a Hamster, and a whole new time travel adventure! The main character, Agent 9, never seems to learn from past mistakes, making them much less endearing, but the supervillain's lines were good for some chuckles. But when bumbling supervillain King Crab manages to overtake S4 headquarters, there is no one else to turn to.

Author James Burks started out as an animator for animated movies such as The Iron Giant, The Emperors New Groove, and Treasure Planet to name a few, as well as working on recent animated tv shows such as The Powerpuff Girls Reboot and Bravest Warriors. I have even talked the head into a little revamp of the library so that we can display them properly! The book's appeal does kind of depend on an enjoyment of the silly – the baddie is not alone in being daft, such as the implausible way our hero can understand every identical 'beoop' from his flying drone as an entirely different message. Could Supervillain King Crab be planning to overwhelm the super spy service so his evil plan can be put into action? With a blend of thrilling chase scenes and a generous helping of humour, this book will race off the shelves in any classroom book corner or library.
