I got Arts Council funding for this on my fifth attempt after a year and a half of applying which has now run out, so I turned it into a CIC, but I just don’t have time to try and get funding for it.

Laura Horton’s Breathless is a story that needs to be told, not for its extremity, but for how common it probably is and, despite that, how rarely it’s heard. The large-handed tree surgeon’s anti-climatic fling with her best friend, the angry Naval guy and the avant garde self-professed mime artist who made his own socks are things of the past and so Sophie dares to admit that it is time to accept her bisexuality and date a woman. Often in the media it’s a certain type of person they tend to put forward to talk about the importance of it. This shouldn't entirely overshadow the play's presentation of queerness, however, which also offers something rarely seen onstage.
