About this deal

Engaging story texts and appealing illustrations provide rich stimulus for discussion of child-friendly topics, supporting the development of children’s language and vocabulary skills.

Bumpy is a small green, purple-warted monster living under the bed of a ten-year-old boy, where he eats dirty socks and dust bunnies as if they were delicacies. I liked the open nature of this adventure, in which, it leaves it to the Keeper decides the true nature of the villain. Isolation and dread that comes with that is a predominant theme of all these adventures, save the last one. Bump in the Night is an American stop-motion animated series by Danger Productions and Greengrass Productions. There is too much variety of supernatural issues going on in the book which should not be taught in the classroom.Bumpy the Untrappable" — The Boy tries to trap Mr Bumpy but since bumpy is quick it will be tough to catch him. Bumps in the Night is one of the titles in Allan Ahlberg's iconic children's picture book series about skeletons, Funnybones.

Made in Japan II" (sequel to "Made in Japan") — Little Robot e-mails herself to Squishy to escape destruction.Thrust into a magical adventure involving bloodcurdling monsters, a supernatural silk cotton tree, and an endless maze, Rika must defeat the fearsome jumbie king to save her family and new friends. Many of his books were collaborations with his wife, Janet, an illustrator, and they quickly became one of Britain’s leading author/illustrator teams. I recognized the author from Miss Nelson is Missing, and the Illustrator from Space Case, my fave Reading Rainbow book. It's the kind of book I'd say to put in a public library collection if the budget allows, but don't worry about it ina private home or when things run tight.

She makes an unusual request, by explaining that she has accepted a marriage request from a man named Robert Galley. Repetitive language and plenty of rhythm make Allan Ahlberg’s humourous and spooky tale of a skeleton family a read-aloud classic. Although, the adventures do contain a fair deal of gore, the true horror is usually more sinister and not in the least what even most seasoned investigators might expect. Players are likely to misunderstand the intent to their peril, fortunately, there is a wad of interesting NPCs that aid the players that might just stave off the advancing doom and give a moment for somber reflection, otherwise, they are most certainly doomed. When the clock strikes twelve there are thumps in the den, creaks on the stairs, and bumps everywhere. Combined with fantastical, climate-conscious scenarios and vivacious and illuminating Black Indo-Trinidadian diaspora folklore that springs from the pages, this beguiling read is one to savor. What else is humouring with Bumps in the Night is that they are covered in plasters when they are skeletons! While this is a finely crafted scenario, it is a very busy scenario that required several re-readings to make full sense of it. The scariness of the haunting is resolved in a standard children's book manner, so this shouldn't alarm your little ones too much.
