Alongside books, puzzles, films and cooking, it is a form of an escapism, which I define as a positive thing, as it allows me to recharge the batteries. We've a couple of long car journeys coming up this weekend and LMC can get a bit impatient to reach Granny's house on these trips, so I'm hoping that having familiar music like this will help to distract her for a while longer as we head up the motorway. As little man loves music I was pleased when we were given the chance to review a brand new album filled with songs from the popular TV channel CBeebies.

This item has made car journeys with my toddler much more enjoyable, as she recognises the theme tunes and sings along happily. CD1 is mostly theme songs, whilst CD2 contains other tracks from the shows, as well as a few more theme songs. One disadvantage to allowing your little ones to watch CBeebies is that you will find yourself suddenly in the shower, or driving the car, and humming along to one of the songs that you've heard in there.As he already enjoys dancing and singing along to songs on CBeebies I was looking forward to getting the new CBeebies album to see if he would enjoy listening to an album filled with songs from the popular children’s TV channel. When I first put this album on little man did not take much notice of the first song from the first CD but when the second song started he instantaneously got very excited when he recognised The Yacki Song from Baby Jake. I think in time as little man enjoys this album more and more the will enjoy listening, singing and dancing to most of the songs even ones that he is not currently familiar with.

This CD is bang up to date and can turn my grizzly child in to a smiley, clappy, one on a car journey. Its first outing was in my car, taking the children to the local petting farm, which is about a 45 minute drive from house. There are a couple of songs that I find annoying but I think that as long as little man loves it and is having fun I can live with an annoying song or two and seeing the joy on his face as he enjoys the album means that I am more than happy to put up with a couple of annoying songs getting trapped in my mind, playing on a loop.

I have never realised just how many CBeebies songs and tunes I know until we listened to a newly released CD " CBeebies The Album" (and if you are a fan of CBeebies, today, 5th of November 2012, is the day when you can get your own album).
