If (Dior Homme range, One Million, A*men, Tom ford) are pefumes for colder weather, this Cerruti is totaly opposite, and will not fit or perform in such areas, maybe it could smell different then it should. but still performs decently: I get around 7 hours on skin, with limited projection apart from the initial blast. When I wear it, I do feel a very slight headache coming on so I have a feeling it may be one of those perfumes that trigger migraines in more sensitive people. Fresh and green with a quite floral opening for me, although that very quickly fades leaving behind a slightly soapy and clean scent with some pine and slight woodiness. It is non offensive frag, sillage is moderate but will be arround you for a long time during the day as a noticable skin scent.With all those notes involved one might believe some of those would bite eachother or start smelling weird but nope. Sure it's not the same, Guccis incredible depth as a green and mossy fougere is lacking here but it's in the same realm.

Cerruti 1881 Pour Homme Eau de Toilette is both discreet and refreshing, lingering and seductive - the ultimate in refined, timeless sophistication. Due to its scent notes, it is a perfect option for day-to-day use and can be used during any season of the year. My only departure from the note triangle above is when it comes to the pepper - when I think of 1881 I think of pepper, it's quite dominant to my nose.I'm not sure if it's similar to things worn by my dad or even grandad in the 1980s, but it pushes some big nostalgia buttons for me. Quite an astringent opening but once that sharpness, bitterness even, passes, this quickly becomes the sort of classic, green, woodsy fougere I really like a la Polo; Quorum; Paco Rabane; Yatagan. My bottle is from 2011 so it is strong and lively and the bottle is a work of art,the kind you keep once the bottle is empty.
