Yourself and Bob are much cherished in our booky world and I personally really appreciate everything that you do.

Although Jackie looks after Gran's tatty old donkey, Barnaby, she longs to have her own horse like the local boys. Ellie doesn't take to her life as a cat but what she does find is Jolly isn't very well thought of by the other creatures in and around grandma’s house. Her unhappiness instead of being obvious to adults is seen as bad behaviour and is considered a "brat " rather than seeing the real problem she has.

I remember reviewing her earlier novel, Robot Girl knowing that Malorie would keep up creating the magic of her storytelling for all, whether it’s sci fi, fantasy, or the modern era.

Malorie has also been awarded the Children's Book Award and the Eleanor Farjeon Award as well as an OBE for her services to children's literature.I was at my last school for 4 years and we had ********* book fairs every term – and every term, I was disappointed by the narrow range of books. As she starts to make friends with the other animals in the house, the mice and the spiders, Ellie starts to learn how to be a good friend.
