About this deal

I want my boy and his pals to be there looking out for the younger ones in a few years time, and that feeds on. At last a group has emerged that has brought something entirely positive to the club – atmosphere and enthusiasm. This season, some Arsenal fan groups have combined forces to create a European style band of ‘ultras’. The Irishman’s sidefoot shot across the ‘keeper was heading just inside his post until Walker, at full length, palmed the ball just wide of his goal. Personally, being a bit on the mature side, it's not for me and I did find them louder ( and a tad irritating ) in the first couple of games of the season.

Paul McGinn then used the slippy surface, sliding across to guide the ball away from Oli Shaw as the Killie striker raced into the box. I know the players can lift the fans, but sometimes the fans need to get behind the players and lift them. Liv Chance worked her way into the box before drilling her strike across the face of goal, but despite being denied on three occasions by Mutch, Larisey was on hand to convert at the back post. Not much of a fan of them but they look like theyre having a good time so perhaps its envy, fair amount of cringe involved though, dont expect much from anybody on a freezing cold wednesday night after going a goal down.Lower N just full of wee laddies who are more interested in looking at the away fans, saying that its probably more entertaining than whats on the field. As the hour mark approached and the ‘Well boss prepared for the double introduction of Joe Efford and Josh Morris, Shaw squandered a great chance to level the scores. I’m not saying a drum is the answer but as has been pointed out, the atmosphere at home is absolutely shocking. With the board agreeing together that Steven Hammell was the right man for the job, Hammell takes his first steps into management and looks to turn Motherwell’s fortunes around. Rory McKenizie’s ball into the six-yard box found Armstrong and O’Donnell tussling in front of Kelly.

Breaking from the half-way line Van Veen had both subs in support before electing to play in Tierney 15 yards from goal. As the Killie defender relaxed thinking his ‘keeper was collecting the ball, ‘Well’s Dutch striker stuck in a foot to stab the ball past Walker and claim his fourth goal of the season. As for their placement I think the distance is the only way I could put up with the drum and monotone megaphone. Even in there best ever league season they are still tin pot, from the football they play to the fans.

Despite both sets of players finding it difficult to stay on their feet, Motherwell maintained their tight passing game as Killie, having passed up a string of chances desperately strived to test Kelly. For Stendel's flaws, he had us going all out attack at home and the atmosphere as a result was brilliant. They look like a choir group without a traditional home, who have managed to land a stadium instead of a church hall and regular captive audience of 15,000. Didn’t help why come much did it, was like some one had given High Wycombes village idiot an early Christmas present of a drum in the morning and he just randomly hit it. But even before a ball was kicked, rumours swept McDiarmid Park’s East Stand that the board of St Johnstone FC had fallen out of love with Fair City Unity, the club’s young ultras.

We should have moved well before that but it was quite enjoyable till that point, but we learned - stay away from the drum would be me advice, don't expect to be guaranteed your seat (ER for example, if you are lower tier behind the goal then you will be in a bit of an atmosphere, and there will be plenty seats to move to). These are the fans of the future, just as much as the much-trumpeted ‘family atmosphere’ that many clubs have tried to cultivate with mascots and fun-days. I’ve stood in puddles of pish, broken up with girlfriends and spent far too much money all to watch HMFC. In the 32 nd minute Spittal’s cross found O’Donnell racing into the box and his glancing header forced Walker to stretch to catch the ball under his bar. The machine is in the social area and it gives the lads a focal point, as they fill up their water bottles.A man who sits in front of me in the centre of East Stand said his grandson was in the FCU and that he was worried that the guys might just fade away, disillusioned with the decision. The annoying thing with that though is that at some grounds there are empty stands and swathes of empty seats which are all in areas where there would be no trouble if they were used. Substitute Jacynta worked her way into the box before dispatching her effort into the bottom left corner. But with Arsenal continuing to tear it up on the pitch, rival fans have been deriding their supporters away from the stadium. The idea that sizable numbers of young men and boys are willing to meet up to rehearse and pre-plan their ‘performance’ is something to marvel at, not condemn.
