About this deal

A quick read and there were like one or two lines that I was like oh right, okay, it's getting going now. There’s another novel that just came out, so I’ll have to read that one so I can get a better judge of character.

In Swift's song, she sings: "Pushed from the precipice / Climbed right back up the cliff / Long story short, I survived. This book teaches all the people who come across it and read it, to not be afraid of who you are or what you want to be. Our queen mastermind, Taylor Swift, may have secretly written and published a poetry book behind our backs and published it under the pen name June Bates just days before releasing "Midnights. The most obvious clue, of course, is that "Lavender Haze" is also the title of the opening track on Taylor's new album "Midnights. For example page fillers with the same line repeated to fill up the page- I know it has its own meaning but comes across lazy. What really made this theory take off is Bates’ “Sapphic” content, which made the book catnip to the many, many Taylor Swift fans who have long combed all evidence for signs that Swift is not straight, as she identifies, but actually queer. Apart from picking apart Swift's lyrics for clues, fans have also resurfaced a Jimmy Fallon interview with Swift where she discusses writing poems very often over the past few years.

Se sabe que no solo hay ciertos tipos “closet”, si no demasiados, y muchas de las veces pertenecemos a uno por nuestros padres, y por sus exigencias en vivir NUESTRA vida a su manera. I loved the way she was manifesting and validating my emotions and feelings even though she wasn't there directly.I usually don't like poetry books that much but this one was so sweet, tender, raw, relatable, and revolutionary. In a short period of time Bates managed to capture the pain, beauty, and magnificence that comes with being queer in today's society.

From intentional connections to Harry Styles’ music, references to previous albums, alleged baby names, or even ties to mysterious poet June Bates — can we handle any more rumors hidden in this album? The short answer is: No one knows who she is, and people are convinced she is Taylor Swift because Taylor Swift fans love a conspiracy. I guess, Swiftie or not, we’ll have to bear the anticipation of Swift possibly addressing the rumors to find out the truth. The book's release came after, on October 6, Swift unveiled the tracklist for "Midnights" ahead of the album's October 21 release. We can't be all too surprised, as everyone and their mother knows Swift is known for her easter eggs. I appreciate the author’s own narrative but the parts I felt more connected to were the more general statements. Another thing that made me smile while reading the book was how safe she felt in her partner's arms, and how calm she was in those moments with her, no bad thoughts, no intrusive thoughts, just her and her partner in bed nothing else in the world matters according to her.

Not only does she state the obvious with the connection in titles, but she also delves into some of the deeper conspiracies about the style of the lyrics, connections to previous albums, and the timeline of the book release. If there’s already been a post about this, my apologies I just couldn’t find it and wanted to see people’s thoughts. First, "Karma" is a song on the new album, “sleep” could be a reference to "Midnights," and “peace” which is a song from Swift's "Folklore" album. even though everyone lives different lives, poetry can pull us together with our experiences and connect us.
