Angle snapping should be desactivable (like on the adns-3090 mice) even tho it doesn’t bother me much. So be wary if you are looking for a long term mouse, but maybe it's just my acidic zombie fingers of doom! DPI levels are still adjustable on the fly (to 400, 800, 1800, and now 3600 DPI) with no software required. The G400 uses an optical sensor as opposed to IR or laser on high end gaming mice, it's also got a lower dpi range than many sensors too. Though not as hyper-sensitive as the M65 or Kone XTD (8,200dpi each), it's responsive enough to satisfy most twitchy gamers.

Even the current Logitech G500 is based around the same design, albeit with a tweaked design and button layout, although the last ‘pure’ descendant was the MX518.The rmb/lmb and side buttons feel solid, have great feedback, and don't take much pressure to depress. The rounded buttons (in - forgive the pun - sharp contrast to the sometimes uncomfortable harsh oblong buttons of the Rude Gameware Fierce 5000 DPI Laser Gaming Mouse V2) feel comfortable to use, and never rub against your fingers when not in use. It has incredibly smooth tracking and precision, something I didn't even know I was missing out on with other mice. I use the MX518 at work and at home and a non-shiny/bullet hole version would definitely fit better at work. If it does not, then that is an issue we need to correct in a future build of the software because the buttons should only do what you program them to do.
