I wish that the various versions of the Mando seasons weren't being drawn out or released so late after running the shows (junior novelizations, this comics series, trading card sets). A lot of the essences of the show I did not feel like were captured, the Mandalorian is a mostly silent character, his emotions told through his body language rather than his face, and there is a feeling of quiet stillness and isolation in the cinematography of the Mandalorian towards the beginning, the shots of the vast world contrasting and making the characters look small, a lot of focus on backdrop, which changes as the series progresses and as the connection between Din and grogu grow stronger. It's not trying to shot-for-shot recreate the show, but its cinematography’s influence is heavily felt. I think it would be better to maybe have extra scenes or new adventures as a comic for the mandalorian, and I think adapting the show into a comic is completely redundant and lazy.
