Because of that love, I am all in on any merchandise we can get based on the West/Ward series, so of course I love this wave of action figures from McFarlane Toys. Housing the Batcomputer and a host of gadgets, the Dynamic Duo solves crimes and is always alert for trouble in Gotham City. Bubble wrap is still used for fragile items and some preowned toys but the majority of our parcels use brown kraft paper.

The playset has over twenty separate pieces, including the ladder, railings, and Batpole pieces, which is incredibly impressive for a thirty dollar set.

The backside has the sculpted parachute pouches, which is a great touch, but that turbine is just itching for a flame effect part that wasn’t included.

Like Batman, Robin is nice and posable, and I was even able to get a few more unique shots out of him than I was with Bats. His costume just looks so damn on point with some wonderful sculpting flares like the tops of his boots and the fasteners running down the center of his tunic. This is awful packaging and it should be outlawed by the Hague Convention on the Just and Humane Treatment of Toys. S. For instance, the rear of the Batmobile has two molded “parachute” blocks, but they blend in with the black on the rest of the car.

Possessing a split personality that veers between two extremes—good and evil—Dent goes by the name of Two-Face. It’s a bright and colorful presentation, just like the show, but it also kind of leans toward that deliciously cheap rack toy motif that I find irresistible and makes me want to keep them carded. The bright red tunic looks stunning with the yellow “threads” running down the torso, and the R symbol pops wonderfully on the black field against the red of the suit. The sculpts are certainly modern and all around quite excellent, so I think the retro moniker which means they have less articulation than the DC Multiverse.
