About this deal

You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot! I admit that it wasn't till I read all the way through this that I realized it's written by a Justin Reynolds --not Jason Reynolds. Desfeita minha confusão, achei esta graphic novel original do Miles Morales tão divertida e bem engendrada quanto a da Ms.

Full disclosure I'm not a Marvel reader, I'm not familiar with Mile's origin story, and I've never seen Into the Spiderverse. As the excitement mounts and danger lurks, Miles has to somehow get to the bottom of the mystery and reveal the super-villain behind it all. After an earthquake devastates his mother’s birthplace of Puerto Rico, the family helps organise a fundraiser that garners the attention of a seemingly innocuous and generous donor. Unlike PP and 60s superheroes, he's not so quite enthralled with science and leaves room for other things.

Miles helps to organize a fundraiser for those affected by the quake, and while he is handing out flyers, he meets a new student, Kyle. This experience has been fantastic primarily for the children, the school and also for me (professionally). Now having to juggle crime-fighting with his responsibilities as a student and to his family, Miles is drawn into a new mystery. My introduction to Miles Morales was the Into The Spider-Verse movie, but this graphic novel does a very good job of quickly bringing the reader up to speed on the relationship between Peter Parker Spider-Man and Miles Morales Spider-Man as well as the latter's origin and powers. He is not to be confused with the older, more experienced Spider-Man from Queens, although they are pals.

An original middle-grade graphic novel from Graphix starring Brooklyn’s Spider-Man, Miles Morales, by bestselling author Justin A. A teenage Spider-Man has to balance his life as a superhero with being a student at a prestigious private school. I was at my last school for 4 years and we had ********* book fairs every term – and every term, I was disappointed by the narrow range of books. But when a new student’s father goes missing, Miles begins to make connections between the disappearance and a giant corporation sponsoring Miles’ fundraiser. I thought it was a little predictable, and didn’t like how the skill of the enemy changed during the story. I liked how just enough info about Miles was given at the intro to establish who he is and what kinds of powers he has. Mas é muito bom ver que a Marvel aos pouquinhos tabém está mirando no público young adult em graphic novels originais que também servem para todas as idades.

There's also a sneek peek at a Ms Marvel story (Stretched Thin) at the end, which looks interesting. His new friend Kyle comes to him to tell that her father has disappeared and Miles suspects Vex and Trinity, two humanoids who have somehow gained superpowers and are intent on using them for nefarious purposes. Miles as Spider-Man not only has his hands full defending the city from Vex and her partner, but Miles the student meets a new classmate who’s father has gone missing. I always tell my kids no matter If you disagree with your friends you can always work it out and soon enough you will come together again.Miles Morales is a normal kid who happens to juggle school at Brooklyn Visions Academy while swinging through the streets of Brooklyn as Spider-Man. Reynolds ( Opposite of Always) and Eisner award-nominated artist Pablo Leon ( Refugees) create a riveting story that will connect with new and well-versed comics readers alike. It doesn't feel shoehorned in though, and there's still plenty of action and humour as Miles tries to find the balance between his home and superhero responsibilities.

The art style throughout was just so vibrant and fun, like what you saw in the ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ movie.I was so happy to also see Ms Marvel and Squirrel Girl in the story, to remind us of how Miles and the other two are in-training at Stark Tower to get a better handle on their abilities and improve their teamwork. Reynolds and Eisner award-nominated artist Pablo Leon create a riveting story that will connect with new and well-versed comics readers alike.
