About this deal

The cover may have some limited signs of wear but the pages are clean, intact and the spine remains undamaged. For their next game against Hufflepuff, Oliver kept increasing training until it was happening every night.

In 1992 he told Harry to " catch the Snitch or die trying" and in 1993, Fred and George Weasley declared, with only mild exaggeration, that Wood was attempting to drown himself in the showers after a defeat as he refused to come out when they did. Oliver races off to show his friends, but in the day-time the wood is full of strange creatures he doesn't know. He waits until night-time and, reunited with his friends, amazes them all with the tale of his incredible discovery.During his first game he took a Bludger to the head two minutes in, and woke up a week later in the Hospital Wing.

Oliver’s disregard for Harry’s safety at this moment is an example of the Knight of Swords’s sincere need to win. From the very beginning Oliver Wood seems to be that kid who likes his one school hobby or activity a little more intensely than everyone else. Without Harry and his Nimbus 2000 broomstick, the Gryffindor team suffered its biggest defeat [5] in three hundred years. After a while he was promoted as a player and lived his life long dream of becoming a quidditch player. In 1995, Harry Potter made a joke with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger about how the new Gryffindor captain, Angelina Johnson, seemed to be channelling Oliver's intense competitiveness, and that perhaps they should check with Puddlemere United that Oliver is still alive and hadn't been killed during a training session.Several times throughout the series, Wood is described as looking manic or having bulging eyes when speaking to his team, and every time he shakes the hand of another Quidditch captain, he meets their eyes boldly before kicking off into the air. He immediately saw that Harry's build was perfect for a Seeker, and impressed upon McGonagall the need for Harry to have a decent broom to fly. At the start of their second match, Oliver took Harry aside and reminded him that they needed as early a victory as possible to ensure that Professor Snape did not penalize them unnecessarily, taking out his vitriol on all Gryffindor quidditch players instead of just Harry. Although he was fair-minded and approachable, Wood (which is an irony given his position as Captain of his team) appeared to struggle with interpersonal skills, as he often seemed oblivious to the way in which he came across to people.
