About this deal

If you take the coffee note away, you get a somewhat generic sweet tonka scent that you find in so many fragrances. A smell that while generic, still very mass appealing and well-complimented. Add coffee and it becomes a gorgeous scent. My adjectives for this scent: Deep, warm, citric, sweetish, mysterious, fresh, curious, candied-apple-ish I am able to see the world from a different point of view. I know who I am, but I also know that I can be someone else. Sometimes I do not understand myself, but I like myself. I do not fit into any stereotype. I fear nothing… except myself sometimes. BEWARE OF YOURSELF." Then comes a musty note, I guess that's supposed to be leather with coffee. Both is such a synthetic replica, that it is in combination the olfactory representation of the following taste: you're just at the dentist, just got tartar removed, there is still some blood in the mouth and you rinse out. I'm not a floral-perfum lover...my best is vanilla/musky...but this one is kinda exception...cause it feels really wet and fresh also complicated allong being so simple...wearing halloween I can't decide it feels warm or cold...it more seems like none of them or both of them.I feel it can be used all seasons except a cold winter.I even don't know I really love this one or don't like it..it's a sexy floral women perfum or a girly fresh one...so strange!!

Performance seems to be quite good and can be called slightly above average. I get a good longevity, about 5-6 hours on skin with good projection the first couple hours, not bad at all. Presentation is quite basic but solid, I like the simplicity overall; the atomizer is also decent and sprays a good burst. But I actually do like Halloween even with the freesia. Theres a touch of violet and just enough of the other notes to "ground" the scent, though none of the other notes stand out. I was looking for incense, as usually that note screams to announce itself on my skin, but I can't find it here. The other florals don't stand out either. This scent comes off as a bit confusing as the name and notes seem quite unrelated to what this smells like. This may sound crazy but Halloween makes me feel like a water lily floating atop azure blue waters, soaking up warm sun rays, 15 minutes after a humid tropical downpour.

The original, a powerhouse bomb, smelled creamy and tarty to me, as on top of all the above-described notes I also detected sugar-coated roasted pumpkin. Yes, pumpkin. Maybe that’s why the perfume was named Halloween to begin with – I sincerely am quite certain of this particular note.I think this is very very easy to wear, inoffensive, casual and a fragrance to wear safely to work, the office. Despite not being a huge freesia fan, I really like this scent. It will never be a top 5 fav of mine and I will likely only wear it occasionally, but I like how refreshing and different this is than the typical summery/tuberose/sandalwood/sweet gourmands that I rotate between in my collection. My spouse really likes this scent and complimented it a lot, though I noticed he seems to like a lot of 90s scents.
