About this deal

Her earlier glimpses of Trump are killingly candid, exposing the tough guy as a weakling, even a sissy. He disdained face masks during the pandemic because the stained straps drew attention to his second skin of bronzer. During the winter he required a valet to blow-dry the insides of his leather gloves, to ensure that his tiny fingers stayed warm; volunteering tips like a chatty beautician, he even advised Hutchinson to add some blond streaks to her dark hair. In a casual aside, she notes that Trump dislikes animals – a symptom of his quaking cowardice, and of his reluctance to confront creatures unimpressed by his inflated wealth and his equally puffed-up celebrity. Titanically petulant, he sought to overturn the US constitution because he felt “embarrassed” by his lost bid for re-election. There are shouts a few hours later and Ren and Dez realise Castian has found them. Dez is captured, but Ren helps the others escape.

The promising idea of being memory thief which is a gift with truly high price is well-written even though I got a little bit of lost with uncertain rhythm of the pacing: at some parts, we witness the inner fights of Renata who feels like walk in the dark without knowing her direction because she has no idea who she is, where she is coming from. She barely gathers some memories to merge them with the other crumbles she collected to create a piece of her own past. And she cannot trust anybody because she has no real friend, everybody is scared of her and most of the people in her inner circle want to get rid of her.The novel is written as an epistolary first-person novel, in which, the main character, a young mother, writes a letter to Osama bin Laden after a London incendiary bombing. I definitely think if this book was cut down to 400, or even 350 then I would have absolutely LOVED this book. But as it stands, it just took way too much time to make any plot progress. To start with the writting style, I think if you start reading this book you’d be consumed by it automatically because it’s so good, I missed enjoying reading absolutely every single detail in a book. I think the book itself has a great storyline with a few plot twists that you won’t expect AT ALL and the characters, seriously what a wonderful creation. It also allows Córdova to develop Renata’s character alongside the secondary characters who appear throughout. Of those, Leo and Lady Nuria were my favourite because their loyalty was a question that kept me on my toes. However, I wish Córdova had developed the characters of Renata’s unit a bit more as they felt flat in comparison.

Ren is a Robari and part of the Moira people- people who have “magical” abilities, whether this be persuading others emotions, illusions, mindreading or the most rare: the ability to steal memories. The Robari have the ability to steal memories and for this they are feared. Steal too many memories and a person is left to become a husk. I think you showed her little mercy by dumping her into the lives of a broken and predatory couple like Jasper and Petra. I hoped against hope that she would not be devoured by their dysfunction, but that wasn’t the story you wanted to tell. There was to be no one there to mother her.Guys the fighting and how Renata rescued him later on and agreed that she will help him out is pure gold. Even though I think there will be a love triangle in the next book between Castian, Renata and Dez. There is no doubt that there is more tension between Castian and Renata than Renata when is with Dez. Sorry Dez, but I prefer your big bro.

I read the synopsis for a book before I read it. That's a normal thing. Then why do we not get any more information past the synopsis until halfway through the book? It's almost as if the synopsis had to reach that far to find something interesting, which I agree with. There's a lot of worldbuilding and not too much explaining going on, so I guess all that had to be skipped. Honestly though, it's almost like the synopsis was spoiling it. Take my advice and don't read the synopsis! Gorgeous world building, searing suspense, and a huge cast of fascinating, complex characters . . . I loved every minute of it He's so angry with the American Jewish establishment that he doesn't listen to real people. You can't just think in terms of systems with the Holocaust.' I can’t imagine how you must have felt the day of the London Bombings. You had this beautiful, powerful book that you had put so much of yourself into (especially your own, parental love); it must have felt like it had been blown up too. Like it had been turned to ash. Renata Convida was only a child when she was kidnapped by the King's Justice and brought to the luxurious palace of Andalucia. As a Robari, the rarest and most feared of the magical Moria, Renata's ability to steal memories from royal enemies enabled the King's Wrath, a siege that resulted in the deaths of thousands of her own people.

Did we miss something on diversity?

Renata was only a child when she was kidnapped by the King’s Justice and brought to the luxurious palace of Andalucía. As a memory thief, the rarest and most feared of the magical Moria, Renata was used by the crown to carry out the King’s Wrath, a siege that resulted in the deaths of thousands of her own people. Books that Ride on the Coat Tails of Actual Tragedies so as to Beef Up Their Lousy Rendition of Same. I am an ordinary bloke (an expression that might be used in your fine country or origin) living in Chicago who likes to read. It is believed the fierce foes are unlikely to come face to face in Oxford, but Finkelstein will sail into a storm of controversy there as his new book The Holocaust Industry is published in the UK.
