Warren's thoughts and actions are NOT okay. In the beginning of the book he is constantly assuming that Bridgette wants things without her actually saying or doing anything to confirm it. I can't even list all the moments that prove my point or I'd just be re-posting the entire novel. I’m awake enough now to know that I actually did hear a girl screaming, and now that girl is hitting me. In my bathroom. A tragic love story, Layla follows a young couple, Layla and Leeds, whose love is interrupted by a tragic accident that leaves Layla fighting for her life. Soon, Layla recovers physically, but the mental scars remain. The couple visit the bed-and-breakfast where their love began, but Layla’s strange behavior puts a strain on their relationship, pushing Leeds into the arms of another guest. Love triangles ahead!I don't want you to change Bridgette. I'm not in love with who you could be, or who you used to be, or who the world thinks you should be. I'm in love with you. Right now. Just like this." The writing style itself is fine, and I think I could enjoy other books by this author with more likable characters. I did like the characters of Ridge, Brennan, and Sydney, so maybe their stories will appeal to me more. Thankfully, overall I wasn't disappointed, but the ending.. It was just too sudden. It finished way too early for my taste & I wished we had a little bit more, you know?

Each author was given the same first sentence. Where they took that sentence was completely up to them. Ya conocíamos a Warren y Bridgette desde Maybe Someday, pero aquí se abunda mucho en cosas que no teníamos muchos detalles. I loved Maybe Someday, so when I saw we would get Warren’s story, even if it was a novella, I was so excited. I already loved Warren and now I love him even more. We saw the dynamic between Bridgette and Warren, but I had no idea how funny they both are.Shit, she hits hard. I still can’t really see her, but I can recognize fists when they’re flying at me. I grab both of her wrists to keep her from assaulting me even more. Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory. I listened to the audio version. There are few odd spots where the narrator's voice changes. Like they had a voice over. It only happens a couple times so it doesn’t affect my enjoyment of the story.
