Overall, the app is good but there are a few features missing. I would like to see the ability to adjust your TCR, as well as ways to type in certain settings. The sliders work good enough, but being able to enter the exact numbers I want would have been great. Temperature control performance is not so great. I used a couple of different builds at varying resistances and I could never get a consistent vape. I tried messing around with the TCR values but this didn’t do much to improve the consistency. It either throttled too aggressively or didn’t throttle enough; I couldn’t get a good in-between. As it stands, I would stay away from the Pulse V2 if you’re a TC squonker. The Vandy Vape PULSE V2 Mod is the latest addition to the Pulse line up. Culminating the best assets of previous version while incorporating the same waterproof technology from the Swell Mod.

The pulse V2 has a wattage of 5 -95 watts, its a nice lightweight compact very responsive mod, that is compatible with 18650 20700 and 21700 batteries, which all fit snugly in place, one of the first things i noticed was the squonk bottle is completely separated and sealed off from the battery and chipset a great move from vandy vape for making it a leakproof system, as we all know squonking can get messy and leaked juice can end up killing off your mod, With a nylon body and with rounded edges its comfortable to hold in the hand , it has 2 removeable resin panels making it easy to access and remove the squonk bottle and battery , battery polarity is quite cleary marked on the inside rear edge of the mod - faces up + faces down. The panels fit securley with no rattle and are held in place with a couple of magnets. The 7ml food grade silicone squonk bottle and replaceable battery are encased behind two magnetic battery panels for accessibility and can be interchanged with different colored battery panels to personalize your device. The last tab is for variable voltage mode and it’s pretty simple. Just a slider to adjust your voltage.

The battery compartment is compatible with a single 21700, 20700, or 18650 battery (with included adapter).

The bottle is removed via a latch on the bottom. If you unscrew it about a quarter of a turn, you can pull the whole bottle assembly out for cleaning. To refill though is the best part of this. You unscrew the latch on the bottom with the mod upside down and fill directly into the bottle. Very easy and no mess from removing bottles. I love the filling on them. Well worth having propriety bottles and makes sense for the application. The latch itself has a magnet so it closes by itself which is nice too.Overall build quality is stellar. The entire mod feels very well built and the fit and finish are perfect.

You can select your coil material, set your temperature, and also set the wattage in TC mode. Unfortunately there’s no way to set your TCR which is disappointing. The other options in the menu let you set the time before the device goes into hibernation, adjust the screen brightness, reset the puff counter, or change the color of the UI. If you’re in one of the TC modes, this menu will also let you set your coil resistance and adjust the TCR.

Another cool feature is the ARR (Auto Resistance Renew) which needs to be turned on in the settings menu.Basically this reads the Ohms (Ω) of the coil and sets your wattage for you, and I found this to be pretty accurate with the coils I tried.It’s similar to how BYPASS works. Vandy Vape APP I’ve mainly included it to show just what an amazing job Vandy Vape have done to include so much into the V2 for not much extrasize, pretty impressive all in all. So far I haven’t used the app too much for controls as it’s been easier to just change the settings on the mod itself. However, the find my device feature is clutch and worth having the app for.We highly recommend using an external battery charger for 18650 battery mods, as it helps with balanced charging and prolongs the life of the battery and mod, such as from worn out microUSB port. Never use damaged or improperly wrapped batteries with this device. We recommend all 18650/20700/21700 battery mods to use matching batteries with similar brand, model, and battery state at all times. When working with Li-ion (Lithium-ion), LiPo (Lithium-ion Polymer) and any rechargeable cells, please be cautious and carefully use as they are very sensitive to charging characteristics and may explode or burn if mishandled. Please make sure that you have great knowledge on all rechargeable batteries before you use them. Always charge batteries at the clean and fire-proof surface. Never leave charging batteries unattended. If you see that there are visible damages on the batteries, please do not use. Always keep, store and transport the rechargeable cells in a safe, non-conductive container in a controlled environment
