About this deal

Will and his family are there for Olivia which is something she has never had and slowly her repressed past comes to light, her performances on the field takeoff, and she falls completely for her coach. I loved loved loved the chemistry between Olivia and Will. It was insanely sexy and even though there was no sex until about the 78% mark, the steam factor between these two was enough to tide me over until I got there.

The athletic department is housed in a vast building that dwarfs almost any other on campus. It lets you know in no uncertain terms what matters most at East Colorado University. I suppose I should be grateful for this fact since it's the reason I've got a scholarship. Overall Pace of Story: Ok. This threw me off for the last ~1/4 of the story. They had finally gotten their heads on straight and were together, but then the author had us do many different time jumps that I found confusing. I wanted more actual time with them together as an official couple! The epilogue was cute, but tbh I thought that was the only time jump I understood. I never skimmed though. (Sorry to sound like a broken record) There's no doubt, as I enter the room, that the two men in front of me know exactly what has happened. They're already looking at me sternly-narrowed eyes, arms folded-which means I'm already sort of pissed off.

All genres:

She had a rough past that forced her to do ugly things, things that she didn't even remember and that was so sad... You have two years until graduation," McEwan continues, "and whether we can make something of your ability before then is entirely in his hands and yours." After reading Kulti, I wanted to read this book because the tropes here (enemies to lovers, H is a coach, forbidden romance, etc.) are similar and I was so excited but I just didn't like this mainly because of the MCs. Maybe the problem is that I already do. I already care about her outcome, and it feels dangerous for no reason I can pinpoint." {Will} Waking Olivia is a decent book. To be honest, it’s nothing extra-ordinary, even though the author did a great job in the narration.

First of all, I'm quite sure that this is very unrealistic. If anything, a woman working a minimum wage job is going to try to get best tips and sometimes that concerns showing some boob ok? A girl's got to do what she's got to do. But in general, I don't think anyone wants Will lol, you can have him. Will had his own hard moments... Very different from Olivia's but god, that man had been carrying a big burden upon his shoulders... All the time he was struggling with himself and the things that he wanted and tthe things hat he had to do...

Part 1: Storyline of Waking Olivia

Overall Opinion: I was really into this book until the author lost me in the last ~1/4. I liked the premise, and I liked the h -- but there was some time jumps thrown in at the end (before the epilogue) that I had issues with. I get that the author wanted to give us closure, but I think it could've been done in one chapter with one jump ahead with a summary type thing. I wanted more time with them as a successful couple! Not just time jumps that end up just summarizing what happened between those periods of time, and not having many actual interactions between them! Oh well, it's probably just me... And most important of all, I don't respect ANY character who openly tries to get with someone they know is in a relationship. Our lovely h here did not care that H is in a relationship with OW for almost 60% of the book. She openly flirts with him, coerces H to touch her and kiss her and is surprised that the actual girlfriend of the H hates her. Like, tf? Calm you're godly complex down. And the fact that she trash-talks and calls the OW demeaning names for trying to solve her relationship issues with the H cuz the OW loves him is just so low. Having said that.. his intonation was really good at least (except for the high ones) which is good thing since I have at least 2 more audiobooks I really wanna listen and he is the male narrator. Wasn't happy about that, but.. hell, his sleepy voice grew on me in the last 10 ours :). Book Genre: Abuse, Academic, Adult, College, Contemporary, Contemporary Romance, Dark, New Adult, Romance, Sociology, Sports, Sports Romance Elizabeth O’Roark’s writing was exceptional. The emotions in this book were so palpable and intense. I felt fear, loathing, anger, nervousness, sadness, happiness, love, hope. It was amazing and overwhelming at the same time. I felt like I was in the story! And the plot. It was so complex! Waking Olivia wasn’t just another romance. It had a darker, thriller side to it. It was so cool. I also have to throw in the fact that the running theme in this book actually worked. It’s very rare to find a book where running as part of the plot feels natural. It did here.
