The boom is long and slightly malleable, and can be swiveled upward, both to engage mute and keep it out of the way — all positives. However, a removable or collapsible design would have enhanced the headset’s versatility. That said, this is very much a gaming headset in looks and execution; this wasn’t designed to be worn on your commute to work. To that end, we’re willing to forgive the “sore-thumb” design. The mic isn't detachable and only slides one way, this means if you're wearing the headset correctly the mic should only be able to slide down facing your left while wearing it. Prior to this headset I always wore headsets with the mic facing to my right and thought I'd hate the change but I got used to it and it doesn't bother me at all anymore
Is the Astro A10 microphone any good?
The main difference between the Stealth 700s and the Arctis Nova is the build quality. The Turtle Beach headset uses more plastics. Thankfully, that doesn’t lead to a cheaper feel. The headrest is still reinforced with metal, and although it doesn’t feature a suspended headband, there’s still plenty of cushioning on top. The earcups are nice and plump, too, fit with memory foam infused with Aerofit cooling gel. If the sound issue’s not fixed by now, try using another headset or headphones. If the same problem repeats, then it could be possible that there’s an issue with your hardware, such as a faulty sound card. Once the “Get” becomes “Launch” hit the “Launch button to launch the ASTRO Command Center software. One of the most common causes for sound coming out of one earpiece are issues related to your audio cable’s connection point on either end.
