About this deal

This was originally the offices of the Liverpool, London and Globe Insurance Company, opened in 1931. It later became Royal Insurance, then White’s Bar before getting its current name. The building was designed by JC Derham. He also designed the Olympia buildings at the Winter Gardens – you can see the resemblance. Bathroom - 2.84m x 1.52m (9'3" x 4'11") - UPVC double glazed frosted window, a three piece bathroom suite comprising of: a close coupled dual flush WC, full pedestal wash basin with mixer tap, panel bath with traditional taps and showerhead attachment, full tiled elevations, ceiling light fitting, central heating radiator, lino flooring. Description - A semi-detached two bedroom stone built cottage occupying a corner position in the heart of a sought-after Rutland village, close to the county town of Oakham. The fibreglass shell was first cast at the Lightworks depot. Tina and artists from the Illuminations team hand painted the designs using an overhead projector to transfer the individual features onto the body of the bench. Even my daughter said they were difficult. Also the sofas needed professional deep cleaning. The kitchen was sparsely equipped and we had to buy a potato masher . There were no serving dishes. These are an example of small improvements that would make a lot of difference. I feel that It would be a good idea if you had somebody actually live in your properties for a couple of nights to. accurately grade and describe them.

We had a lovely time here and liked it so much we didn't want to leave and booked an extra week so stayed 3 weeks instead of 2. It was relaxing and just what we needed. Would highly recommend. Find out more. This ground-breaking project is of global significance, and a real testament to the skill and commitment of the whole team, especially the contractor Engie, and client Queens Cross Housing Association, for whom this is their first Passivhaus project. Deep green retrofit is challenging and large-scale EnerPHit projects are scarce not only in the UK but worldwide. If certification is achieved, Cedar Court is in line to become the largest EnerPHit in the world. Bedroom Two - 2.85m x 2.72m (9'4" x 8'11") - UPVC double glazed window, ceiling light fitting, central heating radiator, door to storage, carpet flooring. Rear/Side - To the rear/side elevation of the property, there is a a hard landscaped area with an area housing an oil tank and boiler and pathway leading from High Street to the rear access door. Landing - 4.37m x 1.67m (14'4" x 5'5") - Ceiling light fitting, doors to two bedrooms and family bathroom suite, stairs to loft bedrooms, carpet flooring. We have marked it down because of the very strong smell of dog! The scent jars do not really help - in some ways make it worse. The culprit seems to be the shaggy pile carpets. Covered in dog hairs both in the house and in the sun lounge. We have owned a dog ourselves in the past but not a longhaired retriever. It has put us off booking a property which permits dogs. Sad really!!

All that remains for the building to be ready for EnerPHit certification is an upgrade to install higher grade filters into the MVHR units, and a final airtightness test. Although conducting a retrofit while residents remain at home offers huge advantages of minimal disruption and cost efficiency, it does leave the challenge of airtightness testing to be resolved. Interim testing, carried out by PHT member Thermal Image UK, has indicated that targets are being met, and a solution to how to conduct a final test is being sought. Once that solution is found, EnerPHit certification could be achieved. Upstairs the building is high quality holiday accommodation. As of 2023, the ground floor is To Let and will reopen once again as the Cedar Tavern.
