This is an incredible set! It looks amazing, but I didn't feel like a lot of the build time was spend just to make it look pretty, like I had with for instance the 42100-1 Liebherr. Everything feels functional. The build went smooth, but is challenging as there are multiple places where a mistake can cause a lot of re-doing. So you need to keep your attention. Can’t argue against that, except that the functions are (currently) pretty limited. You only need a few kinds of controls. On the plus side, in the future, exciting new kinds of functions could be possible only being a software upgrade away. The cab assembly is connected to the rear section via a turntable and universal joint which allows it to both turn and tilt independently. Great review. I have this set and my thoughts were fairly similar going into it. I mainly bought it for the parts and was pleasantly surprised at how good the kit is. Both the build process and the finished model are really fun. It's also amazing value compared to buying all the parts separately for my MOCs. Some of the rare or expensive parts, or stuff that just come in huge quantities include: Overall, though, I am impressed and I think it's the best Technic Control+ model thus far released. " The only issue I had was that I skimmed the tutorial and couldn’t figure out how to do a couple of the tasks the quests were asking for. I ended up resetting the app so I could run through it a second time. It would have been nice to have been able to do that without resetting all my progress. But that’s a pretty minor nit overall. Conclusion and recommendation Literally no kid would care if the Hauler was an accurate depiction of that exact Volvo or just some generic mining hauler, similarly, no one would care if instead of the Osprey, we just got a generic swivel Rotor transport aircraft.

The Control+ hub is mounted behind the cab which makes it difficult to access the on/off button, but they've thought of that: rotating the light on the top moves an arm which presses it for you. The second section’s focus is on the hauler’s cab. Once again, I took the time to lay everything out (somewhat) neatly. There was a decent variety of Technic elements in useful quantities. There were also three more large piles of connection pins to deal with.

This circular gear housing was first used in the 42109 App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car but this is the first time I've encountered it. It forms a very compact and sturdy differential. A fourth 12t gear is dropped into the top before clipping the red gear onto it. Common parts in large quantities: Yellow beams and panels. There are 46 yellow panels in this kit across a variety of shapes and sizes. The majority are used to make the tipper tray. You're suggesting they caused this uproar on purpose, so now they can "cave to public opinion", change their internal policy and start releasing military related sets, now without looking like hypocrites?"
