Where balance is critical tightening them can help you feel more secure. However, if you are striding out over easy terrain it’s better to loosen these straps to allow full hip flexibility. The most compelling pieces in the line were the saddle and handlebar bag. Both of these items use a two-piece holster system. A really useful addition for those of you who regularly need a little extra room.The underside of the top lid is a great spot for your your toothbrush, make-up, and other personal items. It is also a safe place to store copies of your passport and eletronic cords. The Escapist 18 is hydration system compatible. For this there is an external reservoir sleeve which allows access to the hydration bladder without entering the main compartment. It’s designed to work with Osprey’s Hydraulics and Hydraulics LT reservoirs. It will also work with models from other brands. We reviewed the Hydraulics system here. Additional Features Osprey rain covers are top quality. I have used one in rainstorms and even a snowstorm, and my gear stayed dry. To be honest, it’s hard to find any. In the event you’re looking for a smaller bag, you can always go with the 18 or 25-liter models. I wouldn’t recommend trying to strap anything larger than a 32 liter bag to yourself while you ride. Putting aside its lightweight body, the nylon exterior is very durable.
