About this deal

Create the longest continuous route on the map and obtain the European Express Bonus card worth 10 points at the end of the game. The 15th Anniversary Edition’s headline addition are unique solid miniatures for each player colour, replacing the identical hollow carriages of the original game. Each set of sculpts is stored in a metal tin bearing the name and logo of a fictional railroad company from across the continent, delivering everything from lumber and steel to cars and mail. A player can build a Train Station on a city that currently does not have one built. If it’s the first time a player is building a station in this game, they must discard 1 Train Card of any color to build it. The second station requires 2 Train Cards of any color and so on. Similar to the original's 10th-anniversary edition, a larger map of Europe was released in 2021. This edition includes detailed train sets in metal tin boxes and train cards designed for the event. The green train set was removed and replaced by pink ones. It also features the destination cards from the original game, Europe 1912, Orient Express, and a promo card, bringing the count to 108.

Place the board in the center of the table. Each player receives a set of 45 Colored Train Cars, a matching set of three Colored Train Stations and the corresponding Scoring Marker. Determine which player has achieved the longest continuous route and reward them the European Express Bonus Card worth 10 points.

If they draw 2 additional red Train Cards, they will need to discard 2 additional red Train Cards from their hand. Players may also use wilds from their hand to complete this step. A player is never required to build any Stations. For each Station a player has not used, four points are added to his score at the end of the game. Stay at Home (2020). Released to mark the COVID-19 pandemic. [19] It's a free print at home expansion that allows players to control family members as they navigate domestic life and complete daily tasks. [19] When claiming a route, the number of points received depends upon the length of that route, as detailed in the table below.

The iPad version was released on 18 May 2011 and supports play with up to five people using the Game Center or Days of Wonder's own servers. Its offline mode originally only supported a single player with up to four computer players; however, pass and play was added later. If any of these drawn cards match the color of the Tunnel route they are trying to claim, they must discard that many more cards to claim the route.

Game Play

Draw Train Cards – Draw two train cards from either the open market or from the draw pile. You may only draw one card if you choose to take a locomotive from the Market. For Example: After a player discards 3 red Train Cards for a Tunnel route, they will draw 3 cards from the Train Card draw pile. If they do not reveal any red Train Cards, they can successfully claim the route. Tunnels can be gray or a specific color but will have darkened edges which differ them from other routes. Tunnels: Tunnels are special routes that are considered to be underground. Because they are underground, a player will not know exactly how many cards will be needed to complete that route.

When attempting to claim a Tunnel route, a player first lays down the number of cards required by the length of the route. Then the three top cards from the Train draw pile are turned face-up. A route is a set of continuous colored spaces (in some instances, gray spaces) between two adjacent cities on the map. To claim a route, a player must play a set of Train cards whose color and quantity match the color and number of spaces of the chosen route. The entire box has been made larger to fit this new behemoth of a map in, and so it makes it a real focal point for your collection. However, because of its bigger size, it can feel a little empty, especially to those who are used to games like Gloomhaven, where the box is literally brimming with components. This 15 th Anniversary Edition feels more refined than other, more brutish games. The box is sleek, and the inside is carefully laid out with dedicated space for everything. The box insert itself is impressive, and even has special slots for each of the five-player tokens. You Have Arrived at Your Destination In the rare event there are not enough cards available in the draw and discard piles to reveal 3 cards and determine the effect of the tunnel on a player, then only those cards that are available are revealed. If, as a result of players hoarding cards, there are none to be revealed, a tunnel can be claimed without risking additional cards. There are 110 Train Cards, spread across 8 types of regular Train Car cards (12 each), plus (14) Locomotive cars.
