About this deal

Leaving no-stone unturned in the search for audio excellence, even the Yamaha HS7's cabinet has been specially designed to reduce resonance. If you’re mixing electronic or bass-orientated music where you need to “feel” those sub frequencies, want that additional level of control and have sympathetic neighbours, you can always team the HS7 up with Yamaha’s dedicated HS8S subwoofer. Whilst you can hook up any compatible subwoofer to the HS7, the HS8S has been voiced to sonically match HS series monitors for the best performance. First up is the Room Control which you can use to attenuate the low end which can occur when you place monitors near walls. As a result, you can enjoy solid and nicely defined bottom end along with clear, accurate mids with extremely low distortion no matter the output level. High Performance Amplifier

Measurements are compliant with latest speaker research into what can predict the speaker preference and is standardized in CEA/CTA-2034 ANSI specifications. Likewise listening tests are performed per research that shows mono listening is much more revealing of differences between speakers than stereo or multichannel. Allowing you to get the perfect sound to match your requirements and the acoustics of your room, the HS7 has two dedicated response controls. The HS7 can reproduce frequencies down to 43Hz, allowing you to make more informed decisions when mixing your music without the need for a subwoofer. Being able to perceive low frequencies during mixing is crucial, as it prevents you from overcompensating and creating a muddier mix! If you’re recording or mixing in a bedroom or project studio setting that isn’t acoustically treated, the bass that the HS7 put out should be plenty. The HS8 is available if you require even more depth and clarity in the lows. The HS Series features newly developed transducers that achieve astonishingly smooth response over a wide range of bandwidth. These transducers utilize an advanced magnetic field design that regulates the flow of magnetic response to provide seamless, natural sonic transitions. Portable Chain 1: CA Andromeda with Gold Plated OCC Silver wires + Gold Plated Silver Gold Alloy OCC Hybrid wires + OCC Silver wires -> AK SP2000 (Minimum Phase Apodizing)

The only way to explain the difference in listening from low budget studio monitors or HiFi speakers to this (mid budget) monitor, is listening to music under water, then taking your head out of the water, and then the music and everything gets defined and cristal clear. Construction is very solid. Sturdy, nothing rattles or whatever even cranked. But that's to be expected I think. The NS10's are a trademark, but these new monitors (HS5/7/8) are more advanced, and better built. Overall, great quality of sound and design. Their clarity is way higher, and their sound is flatter. I sometimes have listening sessions where I connect the Yamaha's to my Spotify and listen to new songs. This is also a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Why we love it…

I have a pair of KRK Rokit RP8 which I use to DJ with. I bought these Yamaha's because of the flat sound I need for DJ production. I use these in combination with a Focusrite 2i4. Buy the Yamaha HS7 powered monitor from Professional Music Technology now and enjoy fantastic audio achieved through painstaking research, design and development. Yamaha HS7 Active Studio Monitor Matched Pair Specs: This architectural design anchors the cabinet's corners thus improving enclosure durability whilst also eliminated unwanted resonance. As a result, you get even purer sound. So much so, that when I step away from the desk, I can hear the dissonance of the room, but when positioned correctly in front of them, the sound is perfect.) Next, you have a High Trim function which gives you detailed control over the high frequency response.
