About this deal
For a more efficient result, Gundam Erase Type markers can be used by first pressing their tips into a pan to allow the solution within to run out, and then you can apply with cotton swabs. Gundam markers can offer a variety of changes to a Gunpla kit depending on the paint type, knob size and type, and color.
I don’t want to assume too much here, so I want to briefly cover actually removing pieces from the runners and getting them ready for assembly. Other tutorials might advocate washing the runners with warm soapy water and then thoroughly rinsing them, but I feel like this is more of an optional step and I’ve personally never hit any issues not washing my plastic kits before assembly. The only exception here is if they’ve been left exposed and have gathered dust. A faster alternative to that is the fine tip of the liner type which allows rapid panel lining but is unsuitable for larger surfaces. If you want a more realistic looking kit, then you can use the Gray Gundam Marker. It is also a good choice for light colored Gunpla pieces. Brown Gundam Marker GM03

Unlike Greg, I don’t have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Gundam universe. I’d try to claim my brain is full of more useful things, but this would be a barefaced lie. I got in to the hobby because I kept seeing cool robots, and after buying a kit for a friend’s birthday I finally broke and had to have one of my own.
An easy way to know what type of Gundam marker you’re looking at and what it can be used for is to look for some particular features. The size of the nib, the kind of paint used, and the colors available all contribute to this categorization. To use brush types for panel lining, simply apply like a liner type. Its paint is fluid and easily fills troughs or molds. The nib should be reinserted into the marker in the same way that it was withdrawn. To test the flow, press the nib on a napkin. While gloss varnish isn’t required to use the Gundam Markers, for consistencies sake one of the models in this example has had a gloss coat applied.
Important Tip: Don’t use this method if you painted your parts with acrylic paint since enamel paint can dissolve the underlying acrylic paint. You can only use this method on bare plastic parts, or painted parts that have protected with LACQUER based clear gloss coat, since enamel cannot dissolve lacquer paint.
