Jason Futura – former weapons designer, founder and CEO of Futura Consciousness, a Virtual Reality company that most Amerikans use to escape the depression of the Russian occupation, Tsar Vladimir The Conqueror plans to withdraw his forces from the country, and Futura its first President in 50 years (though it is made clear he'll be a puppet President), Futura turns out to be a member of the White Army, who have integrated themselves into Amerikan society, so they can overrun the country, he is defeated when Dante and the Amerikan Insurgents team up and stop him. Another feature was the torture garden.The “trees” in this small forest were mineral in appearance, and presented numerous jagged edges and spikes. Legacy Character: Before the revolution Major Liberty was a role taken by various genetically engineered Super Soldiers who were only used for propaganda due to the sheer cost of genetic engineering. After the Tsar takes over Amerika, he kills the last official Major and the role is taken on by various Rebel Leaders instead. The Musketeer: Nikolai, due to his preferred combination of bio blades and the Huntsman rifle. Many other characters also, as tactics have regressed to the Napoleonic era.

Jena had several tutors growing up, but only two of them she considered to be relevant to her: Her fencing tutor, Caius Zacharovich and her arts tutor, Leonid Tarasov. Nikolai notes that if Caius had been Tsar instead of Vladimir, the empire would be a better place and he gives Tarasov a Mercy Kill when he learns that he's dying instead of allowing the Tsar's torturers to break him first. Sir Richard Hawksmoore was once a respected knight but the Tsar betrayed him and he became nothing more than a mercenary with an obsession with Jena. Nastasia is a Narcissist who habitually kills anyone less admiring of her own looks than she is. She also kills an ex-boyfriend because he broke up with her before she could finish with him herself.

Enemy Mine: During "The Great Game", the houses of Romanov and Makarov join together when Valentine threatens to destroy Earth with the Dark Star. Dmitri even tells Vladimir that even though The Great Game is at an end, at least they had played with style.

Tsarina Eugenia (Jena) Vladimirovna Makarova [4] – the tsar's eldest daughter and Dante's on again-off again love interest. She has a love-hate relationship with Dante, both attracted to him and disgusted with his flings with other women. A capable commander, she plays a major role in her father's empire, and eventually, she grows disenchanted with the empire to throw in with Dante's rebellion. Captain Ersatz: Janus Stark, Catwoman, Crusher Creel, Luther Arkwright, Captain America, Sláine, Wonder Woman and Sinister Dexter all appear fairly thinly veiled. Full-Circle Revolution: Successful revolutions in the Russian Empire turn out to be this. Vlad reveals that he's a Fallen Hero in the final episode and tells Nikolai that the new Tsar always has to be more ruthless than his predecessors. He notes that nobody speaks of Ivan The Oppressor's cruelty anymore and that he had to purge several of his closest friends in his first year in power. Following a hard-won victory, Dante was on the point of marrying Jena Makarov and becoming Tsar of all the Russias when a final confrontation with Vladimir (who ultimately shot himself) resulted in him missing his own wedding. Whether Dante and Jena eventually married or if he returned to his life as an adventurer instead is unknown.
