About this deal

This compact 15W charger performed as well as the Logitech Powered Pad and Moshi Otto Q on our tests (though we didn’t have a 15W phone to test with). If you prefer a status indicator that turns off after a few seconds, or like the look, it’s a decent option, though the AC adapter (integrated to the barrel connector) is a bit bulky, and the faux suede top tends to look disheveled unless you brush the nap in the same direction. We prefer chargers that don’t require brushing. The Logitech Powered Pad costs less and feels more substantial, while the more expensive Moshi Otto Q also supports 15W charging but uses USB-C, so it’s more flexible, and we think it looks better. The stand works in landscape and portrait orientations but isn’t high. It does have adjustable viewing angles up to 60°. This is going to depend on what device you're using. If it's an iPhone 12 or newer for example, then it'll be any device that uses MagSafe and provides 15W of charging. Other phone makers have their own standards, and often the only compatible chargers are the ones they sell themselves. The 4-in-1 Modular charging station for iPhone with MagSafe, AirPods, Apple Watch and iPad has a carefully designed, magnetic connection that gives users the freedom to connect and create an ideal charging combination. The main station of the charging combination, connects to power via a 65W power adapter that is included in the box.

As it is “compatible with” rather than certified MagSafe, it wirelessly charges the iPhone at 7.5W rather than 15W. The most basic form of MagSafe or magnetic charger is the simple pad that latches on to the compatible iPhone. Some pads feature a pop-out arm so the iPhone can be propped up while charging. In terms of design, the wireless charging pad is built using a premium metal frame and has a silicone pad at the bottom for better heat dissipation. It’s case friendly and has a sleek design, which makes it easy to slide inside a bag or a purse while traveling.

HyperJuice 4-in-1 MagSafe charger

Compatibility: iPhone / Android / Other Qi-enabled smartphones + AirPods/ AirPods 2.0 + Apple Watch Does anyone need a wireless charging bowl with yellow underglow, fake wood grain on the outside and fake copper (or faux terra cotta?) on the inside? I don’t know. But I tested 28 wireless chargers for this article and the Tylt Bowl was the only one that sparked joy. The pad format is better for travel portability than a charging stand, and it comes with its own wall power supply unit, so you don’t need to add your own USB-C charger.

Compatibility: iPhones, Android, Other Qi-enabled smartphones, Apple Watch, iPad, iPad Air, iPad Pro, tablets The MagSafe iPhone charger can angle and tilt by 35-degrees, and hold the device in either landscape or portrait—so works well in iOS 17’s StandBy mode. If you have a Samsung phone that supports 15W wireless charging, like the Galaxy S10, S20, S21, Note 10, Note 20 or various Folds and Flips, you should get a 15W Samsung Fast Charge charging stand. Other 15W Qi chargers won’t charge Samsung phones at 15W, and the Samsung charger won’t charge other phones at 15W. Sometimes life is like that. The Journey SWIV 3-in-1 reviewed above is a little larger but noticeably lighter, and also can fast-charge the Apple Watch. This product is compatible with Apple StandBy mode. More information about StandBy mode can be found in our blogpost. Features The 623 also comes in blue, white and dark gray, and includes a 5-foot USB-C to C cable and 20W USB-C charger. There are plenty of more practical magnetic charging stands for iPhones, and some that are actually MagSafe certified. But this one’s fun, and it does what it’s supposed to. For plenty of people that’ll be enough. The main limitation is the USB-A port, which is limited to 10W – but this is still enough for an overnight charge of an iPad, and the unit is primarily intended for bedside use. Today, when most smartphones come with wireless charging support, including the latest iPhone SE 2020 and the OnePlus 8 series , it’s really worth investing in a good wireless charger. They offer a super-convenient way to re-energize your smartphones, without the need for any Lightning or USB-C cables. Now, if you have multiple devices that support wireless charging, it doesn’t mean you have to invest in multiple wireless chargers. A multi-device wireless charging station is a smarter idea and offers better value for money in such situations. You can charge your iPhones, Qi-enabled Android smartphones, AirPods, Apple Watch, and even your Apple Pencil at the same time, without thinking about which one to charge first. Moreover, it’s practical to carry a single wireless charging station to charge multiple devices while traveling, rather than carrying a dedicated charger and cable for each one of them. Due to the overheating protection feature of AirPods cases, the case may periodically stop charging for a few seconds before beginning again. If this happens, the indicator light will turn off for a while and then turn on again. This is a normal occurrence while charging. The MagSafe Duo Charger is clever, compact and incredibly expensive for what it does. It can charge a MagSafe phone (at up to 14W) and an Apple Watch at the same time, then fold into a 75-millimeter-by-80-millimeter-by-15-millimeter square. It connects via a USB-C to Lightning cable, which is included, but requires a 20W or greater USB-C charger, which isn’t. Well-heeled frequent flyers could consider it, especially if you can write it off, but business travel isn’t exactly booming again. Maybe if it were half the price! Belkin makes excellent charging accessories, and the company’s BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 wireless charger is no different. For starters, the charger can seamlessly top up your iPhone, your Apple Watch, and your AirPods simultaneously.Apart from smartphones, you can also charge your Galaxy buds and Samsung smartwatch, including Gear S3, Gear Sport, and Galaxy Watch by placing them on the right-hand side. The overall build of the charger has a clean and minimal finish, with soft LED indicator light. But wireless charging is convenient and requires less messing around with cables. It also means households with more than one type of phone can all use the same chargers. And for overnight charging, or any time you don’t need the absolute fastest charge, it’s a nice option to have. The detachable power bank is powered up while in the stand, via the connected 1.5m USB-C cable that requires a decent (at least 20W) wall charger. You can swap out the cable for a longer or shorter one if that’s what you require.

Please note: This product is currently supplied as a bundle from the 3-in-1 Modular Wireless Charger with iPad Charging Stand and the Modular Apple Watch Extension . The operation is identical. If you can tolerate a proprietary power adapter, the Logitech Powered Pad is a great wireless charging pad for a desk, nightstand or dresser. If you prefer a USB connector, want a charging stand rather than a pad or have a recent iPhone, there are more compelling options below. Materials: What is the charger surface made of? Does it help with heat management? How does it feel? Does it collect dust or fingerprints? If you have any phone in the iPhone 12 or 13 families — including the Mini, Pro or Pro Max — you should consider a MagSafe charger. Rings of magnets on the charger and the phone ensure perfect alignment, and iPhones can charge at up to 15W on a MagSafe charger, compared to 7.5W on a Qi charger. And unlike with a regular wireless charger, you don’t have to leave your phone sitting around while it’s charging; you can use it normally. It even leaves the Lightning port free for wired headphones. (Whether that’s a good thing depends on your relationship with screen time and is outside the scope of this article). Any MagSafe iPhone (12/13/14/15) can be wirelessly charged at up to 15W, faster than non-certified MagSafe-compatible chargers. AirPods and Apple Watch will each charge wirelessly at 5W.

If you already have an 18W USB-A charger, the Anker PowerWave Base Stand can save you some money. It comes with a 4-foot Micro USB cable but no wall adapter. Like most stands we tested, it can’t charge an iPhone 12 Mini, and the blue charging indicator ring may not be to everyone’s tastes, but it charges other iPhones and Androids at up to 10W, and its design is better than many other budget stands. This 3-in-1 MagSafe charger is certified by Apple, so offers full 15W wireless charging for iPhone 12/13/14/15 plus 5W for AirPods and 5W for Apple Watch. Finally, as a board-certified wire-hater, it will enable me to replace four cables with just two. And if you don’t need to charge an iPad, then you get a single-cable connection for three devices. The Watch charging part is separate but plugs in once the stand is unfolded. When folded it can be used as a wireless charging pad. The iPhone can be set in either landscape or portrait orientation when the charger is doubling up as a stand.
