About this deal

Instant Expert: Iris is running the largest corporation in the country before she'd be considered a legal adult in Japan. She lampshades that a young girl shouldn't be expected to be as successful as her, but there are some justifications. One, she's running a new business model based on other successful businesses that just haven't been developed in Tasmeria yet. Two, she's extremely well-connected. Three, she sells products that don't have any direct competition, giving her at least brief monopolies. Mundane Made Awesome: Iris frequently abuses this trope, understanding that what would have been commonplace in contemporary Japan, such as hair care products, an established capitalist system, and chocolate, would be so revolutionary to Tasmeria that it would make her rich within months. Part of the reason she rations out these products and concepts are to keep hype going for Azuta so it can continue accruing capital that can then be used to expand her fief's holdings and then be invested into wellfare and support programs for the poor and downtrodden, such as healthcare and schooling, which fit the exact same trope the rest of Azuta's products do, creating a cycle where Iris continually impresses others and makes a large profit that can be used to modernize Tasmeria. Humble Pie: Bern's character type is the talented but overconfident nobleman. When seeing that his sister's efforts put him to shame he reexamines his life and realizes he's just a wasteful young teenager. It's made even worse by how stunningly ignorant he is about his own family's operations: He didn't even know that his sister was managing the fiefdom, the Azuta Conglomerate, and the local bank system. Which she invented. Knight in Shining Armor: Subverted. Dorsen thinks he is one of these or at least on the path to becoming one. His actions though reveal that he has a very shallow and selfish understanding of knighthood and chivalry. This is why his father's rebuke on how he treated Iris was basically the elder man asking his son "are you SURE you did nothing wrong". His assault on Iris broke the code of chivalry in three different ways. Dorsen used violence against an unarmed, defenseless woman; he raised his hand against someone his better (Iris is much higher than him in the peerage) without just cause and lastly he stood against the side of justice since Iris, after being cheated on and abandoned by her fiancé, was the wronged party.

Silk Hiding Steel: Mellice is exactly what one would expect of an aristocratic lady. She also won't hesitate to destroy verbally and socially anyone who crosses her or mess with her family. Adaptational Jerkass: In the manga, he is rude and condescending towards Ryle and Dida, whereas in the novel he was polite and respectful even before they showed their talent. Would Hit a Girl: Deconstructed. His first scene has him restraining Iris on the floor and humiliating her in front of the Academy. An action that has long term consequences on his reputation as well as his family. Lyle and Dida both hold grudges against him for harming Iris. The Unapologetic: Unlike Berne or Dorseen, Van feels no guilt or remorse what he or his family has done to Iris. This leads to Iris seeing through Van when she knows he didn't feel sorry for what he did even when he knew it was wrong.Honey Trap: She is trying to become the queen of Tasmeria as part of a plan to weaken the kingdom from inside. Day in the Limelight: Yuri attempts to personally recruit him when she reveals to know his past. He proves to be the first known man to turn her down. Following that, Van attempts to weasel into Iris' good graces so he can betray her so that Yuri will hang out with him again. Yes, really. However, Iris saw this totally obvious move coming, prepared accordingly , and executed him afterward for treason. Tasmeria's northern neighbor, which is short on arable land. They waged an unsuccessful war of conquest to seize Tasmeria's grain belt, which petered out, but did not ever officially end, roughly thirty years before the story begins. The war heats up again at the end of volume 4.

Puppet King: Part of the support he gets comes from nobles who realize he is easier to manipulate and less interested in properly ruling than his brother. Good Is Not Soft: Easily one of the nicest, friendliest, kindest souls around. However, when asked by Dida to spar, she points out the lethality of her method of combat would make her a poor sparring partner, and when some thugs talk about selling Iris into sex slavery directly in front of Tanya, she has her knife at the leader's throat faster than anyone can even blink. Prince Edward openly scorns his fiancee from a ducal house for a girl born from a baron's family. It is the problem with his father all over again. He regrets he judged Iris based on other people's accounts of her character instead of talking to her... so he goes to her fiefdom and asks her people what they think about her. Even though their opinions were positive he was making exactly the same mistake. It's lampshaded by Iris herself. The Proud Elite: A significant portion of the cast are aristocrats and concern themselves with matters of status, wealth, and high-level social and government maneuvering. In a story so focused in nobility it was to be expected.Love Epiphany: After growing ship tease and desire to trust Dean but being unable to open up, Iris finally realizes she loves him... and promptly decides to never act on her feelings and bury them deep away. The Mole: His entire purpose in settling in Armelia is to act as a spy for Yuri. Absolutely nobody was fooled by his half-hearted apology, but they let him in anyway to give him enough rope to hang himself with. Ojou: She was this in her school before being scapegoated for bullying Yuri and losing the Second Prince's favor. She regains this as she surrounds herself with her competent maids and servants to act as her subordinates in her rising merchant empire. She uses her social standing to shut down those who would badmouth her and gains the adoration of the public and fellow nobles for her business acumen, beauty, and charity work. Briefly about Koushaku Reijou No Tashinami manga: Our protagonist was a simple office worker living in modern Japan. But one day, she is hit by a car. She opens her eyes and realizes that she is in the world of the otome game she loved to play. But that’s not all that happened. It turns out that she has become Iris — a rival protagonist in the game and a villain. And so, faced with a situation that bodes ill for her. She decides to change her fate. But will she succeed? Will she be able to bear the burden that her father, the Duke, has placed on her? The Corrupter: Yuri is turning the people around her into short tempered, wasteful idiots. While it's easy to dismiss it as mere stupidity, it's implied that she's doing it on purpose.
