We have full confidence in CC Pro-X. This innovative product is set to become the top choice for professional players, helping them elevate their performance in billiards matches. We look forward to witnessing professional players showcase higher levels of skill and captivating performances in their games.

The difference between the Elk pro and the Regency pro tips is the feel. The Elks felt a lot “harder” than the Regency, but they did grip the cue ball well and chalking with Taom gold soft was simple enough as they gave a nice even coating of the new chalk. According to the spiel, Elk pros also work well with the traditional Triangle chalk as well. We did an initial test using an old piece of Triangle chalk and found that to be the case. However, SnookerZone’s chalk of choice is Taom gold soft. CC Pro-X features a specially developed adhesive by the CC team. After rigorous durability and stress testing by numerous professional players, this adhesive effectively reduces layer separation issues, extending the cue tip’s lifespan. While it’s certainly possible to play snooker with a 8mm tip, most people would find it is too small and their game suffers as a result. The Century Cues, Tip Shaper. This is by far the best tip shaper I have ever used. It’s very well constructed, easy to use and works the tip perfectly. The tip shaper comes in its own little pouch, to keep it well protected and prevents any scratches on your cue, while in your case. I have fitted a lot of tips for other players over the past five months and the shaper makes edging and shaping, easy. Plus, it does not show any signs of wear and tear, due to it’s robust construction? Century Cues have produced another quality product. That’s because they have two big things going for them. Firstly, they are very good quality, the kind of level that suit all players (even Ronnie O’Sullivan has said he uses Elk Master tips!). Once pressed from a single piece of premium A+ leather, each tip is tested scientifically to ensure that it’s hardness can be identified straight away. This is an important part of the cue tip making process as this ensures that each cue can be graded. So what? How often a snooker player changes their cue tip depends on a number of factors, the type and quality of tip they use, how often they play, and how much they play so-called ‘power shots’.

A larger cue tip has more surface area and is more forgiving of bad cueing, but it will be more difficult to add spin to the cue ball. How often do snooker players change their cue tips?Century Pro manufacture four main grades of cue tips. They are the G1 (soft), G2 (medium), G3 (medium hard) and G4 (hard). There is additionally a custom G5 super hard tip. The usage of these tips depends on the preference of the individual as each of them have their pros and cons based on the kind of shot you are playing.
