Every parent struggles (often enough) to articulate their love for and pride in their children. Things get in the way: He had protected and provided for us until then, but without warning, my world changed overnight, and my mom took on the responsibility of raising two kids all on her own.

Life is not always fair and square; you will have proud moments as well as the not-so-proud moments. 4. “You make me proud in so many ways.”

You are the most beautiful rose of all the gardens who just happened to be gifted to us by God Almighty. Dear daughter, as your parents we are so proud of you! I learned to love my son without wanting to possess him and I learned how to teach him to teach himself. This statement is similar to the previous sentiment but with some awe mixed in. You look at your daughter and think, “What will she do next? Just when I think she can’t surprise me anymore (in the best way)… she does!” You want her to know that, too. Consistent expressions of love cannot be overdone. The more parents say it, the more deeply it is appreciated. She’s less likely to look for love “in all the wrong places” when she’s confident her dad’s crazy about her. 2. “I believe in you.”
