About this deal

I'm not saying the unique angling isn't a good idea. It's certainly one of the best ideas I've seen for a keyboard case. I'm just saying I think it suffers from being overly designed.

Instead of a case that you snap the iPad Pro into, it's designed so you can simply plop the iPad Pro onto the mount magnetically. There are multiple strong magnets on either side of the mount to keep the iPad Pro in place. There is no chance your iPad will slip away from the magnetic connection without a serious jolt. The Magic Keyboard is stable on a lap and is built to be well-balanced for lap use. It is a rigid keyboard with no flexibility. Tilt Attach your Magic Keyboard 12.9 5th Generation to your iPad Pro magnetically and adjust the angle to suit you. The new Magic Keyboard is heavier than the ‌iPad Pro‌ itself, which is something to consider before purchasing. The 12.9-inch version of the Magic Keyboard weighs 710 grams (1.6 pounds), heavier than the 641 grams (1.41 pounds) of the 12.9-inch ‌iPad Pro‌. The displays have rounded corners. When measured diagonally as a rectangle, the iPad Pro 12.9‑inch screen is 12.9 inches, the iPad Pro 11‑inch screen is 11 inches, the iPad Air and iPad (10th generation) screens are 10.86 inches, and the iPad mini screen is 8.3 inches. Actual viewable area is less.Believe it or not, you can use most keyboards — including one you might have bought with a desktop computer — with an iPad. But you’ll need to have a USB-C adapter, unless the keyboard itself is USB-C, so that you can plug your keyboards into the USB-C port of your iPad. However, there are other specially designed keyboards that are tailored to your iPad and avoid any added wires.

While using the Magic Keyboard with the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2020) for a couple of months, I often forgot that I was working off of a tablet. It mimics both the look and feel of a real laptop, making it comfortable to use at my desk and even when working from my bed. The 11-inch Magic Keyboard options sold in 2020 and 2021 are compatible with ‌iPad Pro‌ models from 2018, 2020, and 2021, as well as the fourth-generation iPad Air. Software Requirements The tilt of the ‌iPad Pro‌ when inside the Magic Keyboard can be adjusted from 90 to 130 degrees. USB-C Port The Magic Keyboard case is noticeably heavier than the Smart Keyboard Folio and adds quite a bit of weight to the iPad (1.6 pounds versus 0.89 pounds). If you’re going to be carrying your iPad Pro around with the keyboard, it’s definitely something to consider. With the Magic Keyboard attached, the iPad Pro is closer in weight to a laptop than a tablet. Price It's also super comfortable to use while watching Netflix or any other similar streaming service. At night, I'd prop it up on my bed to catch up on shows. More often than not though, however, I'd unclip it from the case and use it as a full-on tablet. A couple of complaintsThe Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro, however, has a maximum angle of 30 degrees, which is adjustable, but all adjustable angles are too inward to be useful to anyone. You can only angle downward from the open-most angle. No one uses an iPad at a 15-degree (toward the keyboard) angle. It's an over-designed idea.
