From the start, my newborn has loved the mamaRoo4. She's nine weeks old as of this writing, and I use it almost daily. She's just starting to notice the colorful fabric mobile, and I love that the toys in it can be flipped over to change the color scheme. The toys feel like little round pillows, and can be removed and played with when your baby is ready. One of the three has a bell that jingles when shaken, another makes a crinkling sound when squeezed, and the third has plastic a mirror sewn on it.
This product is not intended, designed or marketed for sleep or unsupervised use. If baby falls asleep, move baby as soon as possible to a firm, flat sleep surface such as a crib or bassinet. Fabric Care There is a mobile over the seat that's easy to remove or turn out of the way. This is the only piece of the mamaRoo4 that feels flimsy a bit to me. On a previous mamaRoo I've tested, the plastic that holds the mobile in place wore down after a couple of months and I couldn't use it any more. Taking up around the same amount of space as a large dining room chair, it has a relatively small footprint but doesn’t fold down or go flat, making it less easy to store than a fold-flat bouncer such as the BabyBjörn Bouncer Balance Soft or Chicco Hoopla. Hands down, best bassinet out there! I cannot say enough good things about this bassinet! It has every possible feature you could ever need for both you and your new baby to get a good nights sleep. There are five different motion settings, five different speeds, vibration, and music with adjustable volume. Kangaroo, speed two with vibration is the sweet spot for my babe! It works like a charm every time and I am able to lay him down sleepy and he dozes off on his own. Most importantly the flat sleeping surface and mesh siding provide a safe sleeping space for my son and make it easy to see him as well, both of which are very important features allowing me one less thing to worry about.

The motions are named after what they represent and are fairly accurate in that way. I have had this mamaroo for less than a week but my whole family already loves it. I am a stay at home mom. If I got him to sleep and then laid him down he usually woke 30 mins later screaming to be held and bounced. Needless to say I lived on the yoga ball. It made homeschooling difficult to say the least as well as all the other things I needed to do around the house.The mamaRoo has five different settings that mimic the soothing motions that seem to come naturally to people when they have a baby in their arms. The motion and sounds are controlled either via the hard buttons on the base of the unit or by the mobile app, which uses Bluetooth to control the seat. Large, easy-to-see buttons make it easier to change settings and power the seat on and off with your foot than previous models. (The buttons sit only a couple of inches off the ground, so using your foot feels fairly natural.) She adds, “I wouldn’t take this away with me unless perhaps I was going away for more than a week or had a baby who would only settle in this as it’s quite large. I would also want to dismantle it before moving it in case it breaks.” Lucy has reviewed a wide range of baby bouncers over the years and as such is well versed to recognise the key features that are beneficial to parents.
