However, due to the differing alcohol contents, the citrus notes become more prominent with the Brut Aftershave, and the herbaceous and powdery notes are more prominent with the Splash On, which tends to have a lighter scent. So, for the few of you that haven't smelled Brut, what does it smell like? Well, it's a classic lavender-coumarin fougere, with a spicy middle and coumarin/tonka bean to lend to the sweetness. Kind of soapy and very "barbershop"-like. It's been a long since Brut is not in people taste, so I will grab a bottle and wear it, if someone ask I will say it's something from Amouage or Creed or something really expensive... and if someone really want to know, maybe I'll tell the secret.
