I made the hat along the general lines of the hat pattern, but I lengthened the hat’s point and gave it some thin flaps at the ears. Then I lined it with a little white faux fur. Made it seem a little more wintery. Then I added a twist to the tip of the hat by stuffing a twisted paper clip up in there and just kind of let it push the knit fabric into the twisted shape. Place the corresponding pattern pieces on the fabric you have designated for each Gnome body part and pin in place (paying attention to those on the fold or that need 2 cut). Cut your pieces, unpin, and set aside.

For each leg, arm, boot and hand, place the corresponding pieces with right sides facing together and pin or clip together. You should have (2) legs, arms, hands and boots.
