About this deal

In terms of size, the Aer falls in the middle of the range when compared to the 11 other buggies we tested. With the Joolz Aer+ range, you have more options for sustainable fabrics. Joolz teams with Waste2wear w\ho creates fabrics from recycled plastic. But they don’t just get the plastic bottles that come out of our recycling bins – they have an Ocean Plastic Project, collecting plastic from coastal areas and then are turned into usable fabric.

It’s a dream to fold and unfold one-handed in one fluid movement, which makes it particularly useful to store and to use on public transport. Firstly, there is no size or meaningful weight difference. No change to the dimensions (open or folded). The advertised weight looks like the it’s gone from 6.3kgs for the Aer to 6.4kgs for the Aer+. It’s probably rounded up to an extra 100g because all I can see that could possibly add weight would be the larger hood having a bit more fabric. So not really heavier in any meaningful way. Joolz Aer+ Newborn Recline

This is ideal if they are in the semi-reclined position having a nap so that even when their head is lower down the sun can’t sneak through to their face and disturb them. The Joolz Aer is a seriously stylish buggy. From the lines to the leatherette on the handlebar and bumper bar to the fabric, everything feels like premium quality.

I know this will be the biggest question people will have about the Joolz Aer+ especially once it has been fully launched in the global market as this is one feature that is not consistent between all countries. Joolz Aer stroller is the first lightweight stroller of the very established and trusted Dutch brand Joolz. Aer is described as a high-quality, stylish, lightweight buggy. Is it really a good stroller though? Because of the strap issues most of the time I wasn’t even able to strap the top straps when a child wiggled. Is Joolz Aer Suitable for a Newborn?Again – it’s a refinement – not a big updated, but I love the way that Joolz as a brand do make these little changes with new models, even if only someone like me would even notice! Fractionally Bigger Basket

Attractively, Joolz offers a lifetime warranty on the Aer to make sure you get even more value for your money. How comfortable is it? As such, the Aer coped well with alighting and disembarking the bus, managing the gap with no problem at all. It’s light in weight at only 6kg and, though it doesn’t have an integrated carry handle, it has lots of places to grab onto as well as a removable carry strap, which also makes it easy to carry up and down stairs. Rather, the Joolz Aer pushes very smoothly, with no undue effort expended in pushing at all. How safe is the Joolz Aer? We've improved the wheel design, providing 4-wheel suspension for a smooth ride, and added LED light compatibility for safety in low-light conditions. The Aer+ is sturdy and well-engineered, with a premium feel that sets it apart. The generous shoulder strap and foldable bumper bar makes it incredibly easy to carry the stroller wherever you go.The shopping basket on the Joolz Aer is outstanding and it was one of the main things our tester noticed on first impression. However, it’s still a zipper-regulated recline that now will require stuffing even more material. Not to mention the break is in the middle which when the stroller is reclined deeper will be harder to reach. It’s also less convenient to push when the stroller is reclined more because you have to reach over it. Its accompanying instructions are minimal, but adequate and clear. Visual assembly instructions are available on the Joolz YouTube channel if needed and are straightforward to follow. The care instructions also couldn’t be simpler as they are presented in bullet-point form. The basket in particular will appeal to those who like to load up with baby essentials for a day out. If it’s purely a travel option, you might want something less expensive depending on how much travelling you’re likely to do. This buggy doesn’t just look good, though. Both soft and practical, our tester put it through its paces over a whopping 50 miles and there were no signs of wear and tear after testing was complete.

It folds & unfolds incredibly well with one hand and the seat is sturdy and tall, plus has a ton of storage which is a huge plus for a travel stroller. The basket is very spacious and it’s a huge plus for a compact stroller. I was able to put my own purse, along with two big bags of shopping in without any major issues. If you’re looking for a smaller main pushchair from six months on without compromising on the smoothness of the ride, the Joolz Aer might be for you. When it first launched it wasn’t, but now Joolz Aer is suitable for a newborn with a cot. The stroller folds with the bassinet attached (makes it a little bigger though), which is fantastic.
