Just to add, for reference, I'm a cis-het male, usually framed by others as traditionally masculine looking, (currently in training to star in a superhero movie, for example. I actually have a small role in that movie, where my character shouts "Just Let the Girl Speak!". In fact, not only do I say it, it's a line I wrote myself! If you know the events of Episodes 1-9, it's a pretty darn important line because if they didn't listen to the "girl", then everyone and everything in Ep.4-9 wouldn't even exist as they'd have been wiped out! Therefore, accidentally, I saved the galaxy, by giving a young woman a voice. Or, she saved the galaxy... i just ensured people gave her the chance to! 😅
