ABBEY ROAD 1/2 SPEED.ROOM 30. 1+1 0800746 BJ75749-01 B1 Similar to all Giles mixes, the album is really staying true to the original but adding some flair to it by modernizing the sound (making it fit the current equipment), and erasing the flaws from the original (compression mostly, which boosted the bottom end in some songs). I think this pressing is slightly better than the later UK pressing due to its extreme clarity, but falls short to the original UK pressing. In all honestly, there few songs I prefer on this remix that the original, but in totality, I think the original is just too good on its own ways.

I got into a Beatles rabbit-hole recently, so I went ahead and played this box-set, MFSL, -3/-4, and -1/-2 UK pressings. On it is own, this pressing sounds open, and crisp. The clarity and balance of this remix makes me want to listen to it over the MFSL, 2014 reissue, and any US pressing I have heard over the years, all of which I got rid off once I got my hand on a clean first UK pressing.
