The new series sounds so interesting. And why does she keep describing Dante as this guy who’s not traditionally handsome like?? No give me handsome. Thank you. (I’m joking) So, the same thing I said for the other twisted women: I don’t have much to say about Stella. Because she really wasn’t a bad character. She was just so poorly written. I didnt enjoy reading about her, I didnt care about her— she had absolutely no structure or real character, whatsoever. omg where do i begin? i was totally convinced that twisted games was going to be my favourite in the series but this book is in a different level all thanks to my babygirl stella. don’t get me wrong i loved christian too but stella is just incredible 🥹 Ava Chen, a twenty-two-year-old, is happily attending university with her three best friends (Bridget, Jules and Stella) while pursuing photography on the side. I can’t imagine a better duo than a lawyer and a doctor. It’s awesome. They just are there to talk with each other like in the library with Tanya’s death, or at the Picnic trying to get Josh to finally move on with Alex, also when Josh finally went to go see his father and Jules was there for him. That’s all the matters just being there for someone and I think that’s what makes them so good together. And the chemistry between them is fantastic. Anyways I love Josh and Jules 🤍
Starting from the beginning lets talk about the QUEEN 👑 ANA HUANG I first saw Twisted Love on tiktok and read the first twisted series book; and as much as I love that grumpy-ass-no-emotions-billionaire I remember thinking that the writing was not one of my favs. Through her entire twisted journey, her books and writing and way with words has only gotten BETTER (which I didnt even think was possible after twisted hate). Twisted Lies has to be one of most well-written books of 2022 where it balances all components of a contemporary romance book: fluff, smut, tropes, story, suspense+++ without jeopardizing the relationship . Nothing about Stella and Christian’s relationship was rushed or fast. and this man took boy-obsessed to ANOTHER level. Stoic, broody, and arrogant, elite bodyguard Rhys Larsen has two rules: 1) Protect his clients at all costs 2) Do not become emotionally involved. Ever. Book Two of the interconnected-standalone Twisted series by TikTok sensation, Ana Huang. A contemporary, forbidden romance between a princess and her bodyguard… Mostly because Alex's appearances in the other books improved on his character immensely. Funny enough, I don't even remember him in his own book.) okay first of all, that was so freaking good. and second of all, can we please just take a moment to appreciate the cover? green was DEF Stella's color and the butterflies AHHH. so damn pretty.Romance Tropes: Fake Dating, Marriage of Convenience, Age Gap Romance, Grumpy-Sunshine, Billionaire Romance, Office Romance. What makes it worse is the fact Ana in no way a feminist because if she was she wouldn’t promote this monstrosity of work.
Theirs is a love twisted with secrets and tainted by lies…and when the truths are finally revealed, they could shatter everything. Christian was this enigmatic personnage with a knowing smile and cold hearted aura. He was so found and fascinated by Stella from their very first encounter and that alone should have been a sign for what the story-line reserved us as a plot twist. Christian wasn’t just talk —even if he calmed he didn’t believe in love, he said the most romantic things— but acted too much at times, ngl; he was so supportive with every professional turn Stella envisioned, I loved that part because he never downplayed the importance of her social median work even if it was the worst nightmare for his profession. He defended her at all costs. We follow our main characters Ava, Bridget, Jules, and Stella, four best friends, as they find love in unique ways. Unsurprisingly their love interests, Alex, Rhys, Josh and Christian are ruling over bookstagram as the hottest book boyfriends!

To make this as clear as possible; I discuss some main issues I had with this book (I actually think I overanalyzed this entirely too much) but that doesn’t mean I’m in any way shaming anyone who enjoyed any of this. I am going to talk about bigger issues that I found in this book— and that does not and should not invalidate your thoughts on it. Good or bad. Taste is always subjective, and I simply didnt enjoy this book. he sliced into the hand of the guy who groped stella, poured whiskey into the cut, took money out of his bank account to reimburse himself for the wasted whiskey, said he would leave his hand intact BUT THEN CHANGED HIS MIND AND SHOT HIM IN THE HEAD...
Twisted Love is my next favourite book. I personally feel that Alex was sometimes a bit too pushy. However, I love how all the couples in each book are different. Alex and Ava's story is complicated and was hard to follow at first. But the ending of the book was possibly the best ending of the series.Despite her popularity on social media, Stella Alonso is a sweet, shy, and introverted woman. She’s a romantic at heart but keeps her emotions guarded. With her two jobs, she has little time or interest in a romantic relationship. However, when a threat from her past forces her to seek refuge in the home of the most dangerous man she has ever encountered, she starts to feel something she hasn’t felt in a long time. Despite Christian’s cold demeanor, being with him makes her experience a whirlwind of emotions. She feels passionate, protected, and truly wanted. Conclusion She's the object of his darkest desires, the only puzzle he can't solve. And when the opportunity to get closer to her arises, he breaks his own rules to offer her a deal she can't refuse. Every monster has their weakness. She's his. His obsession. His addiction. His only exception. the day people stopped thinking they could change someone who didn't want to be changed was the day fewer hearts got broken” Bridget is a princess who is just as stubborn as Rhys and has a hidden passion that makes him question his own rules. She is not what he expected, but she is everything he didn’t know he needed. She slowly breaks down his walls daily until he realizes he wants to possess her, even though he is not supposed to. She becomes his princess, the forbidden fruit, and the center of all his dark desires.
