About this deal

Early 2002 (new larger face, bigger smokebox, wide boiler with stripes, no ledge on rear, new details, shorter dome, funnel hole removed) In late 2017, twenty-five years after the debut of the Wooden Railway line, it was retired and replaced with Wood. The replacement was originally announced to take place in 2018, but ended up happening sooner.

Flying Scotsman's reintroduced model features the British Railways logo with "Mainland Railways" printed in place of the British Railways text.

Features two Thomas’; one with a gold smokebox and wheels and one as Wilbert Awdry initially made him. In late 2016, some engines received smaller faces that no longer cover the whole smokebox front and others' faces were changed. Push-along toy train featuring Thomas & Friends™ character, Gordon, and an attachable cargo car full of "coal" Much like the Take Along and original Take-n-Play range, some of the models have altered wheel arrangements due to size constraints. As a result, Nia is depicted as a 2-6-0 much like her All Engines Go redesign, while Gordon, Hiro and Rebecca are depicted as 4-6-0s.

Note: ** means that a character appeared in the original series, but is based on their appearance in Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go.) ModelInitially released with Bertram and the Scrap Cars; later reissued individually in 2012 and 2016 for limited release. As of Big World! Big Adventures! The Movie and Big World! Big Adventures!, Gordon is one of the four remaining engines from the Railway Series to be part of the Steam Team, and Gordon and Thomas are the only members of the Steam Team to be the exact same colour. Gordon is like a guardian. He's strong, physically and mentally, so sometimes he seems wise beyond his years. This means he looks out for his friends and does anything possible to help when they get into trouble. He is also the Flying Scotsman's brother. A flipped version of the sixth illustration in the story Edward and Gordon from the C. Reginald Dalby edition of The Three Railway Engines is featured as a painting on the wall next to the baggage drop in the Knapford Station set.

Oliver appears in the Boulder Mountain Set despite not being featured in the episode it was based on: Rusty and the Boulder. Young conductors can send Gordon racing along to deliver coal across the island of Sodor with this Thomas & Friends™ Wooden Railway push-along toy train from Fisher-Price®. Crafted from sustainably sourced wood and designed to look just like the character from the show, this Gordon Engine and Coal-Car makes a great gift for any Thomas & Friends™ fan. Thomas & Friends™ Wooden Railway toys are built to last, so young conductors can create their own railway adventures again and again. The Halloween Engine in the eighth season episode, Halloween, was recycled from one of Gordon's scrap models. This range introduced counterweights; something that was only seen on two engines before, which were Big City Engine and Push Along Thomas. The Wooden Railway merchandise line for the Thomas & Friends franchise was created by Roy Wilson of Learning Curve in 1992, with the line becoming publicly available in 1993. These original models were primarily constructed with painted wood, along with metal used in the coupling magnets and axles and plastic for the wheels and faces. These models were relatively simple, with simple wooden stubs for the funnel and dome, while details such as windows, whistles and buffer beams were omitted. At 25 years, Wooden Railway was the longest-running and most popular Thomas & Friends merchandise line (with ERTL being the second longest-running at 20 years). While Whiff's model has the correct amount of wheels, this results in him being longer than engines who should be the same size as him. The Dream Big Tour Thomas features different versions that have different wheel colour arrangements.
