About this deal

I think this would not work for several reasons. The battery board "remembers" how much current was used to charge the battery and measures the current when the battery is in use. If you disconnect the battery from the board, the calibration will be reset and the board will send an error message to the drone. Because of this, the drone refuses to start the engines. And even if you could keep the memory intact (I tested it with a LARGE capacitor), the drone wouldn't see any current when you fight the drone. Maybe that's enough to get an error. If not, you still have the problem that no power is detected and therefore the battery percentage in the goggle OSD does not change. It doesn't matter if you change the voltages with a boost converter. The board "counts the current". So you don't know how much capacity is left. If that's not a problem, you don't have to do any of this. You can change one firmware parameter and use any battery. But then there is no percentage display and you have to guess how long you can fly and when your drone will fall from the sky ;)

The DJI FPV has no built-in memory, giving the clear advantage to the modest but substantial 20-GB internal memory of the Avata. This is not really a huge issue considering that both drones can be expanded with microSD cards. Insert the battery to the aircraft, connect the provided DJI 65W Portable Charger to the USB-C port of the aircraft, and the Battery Level LEDs in an array blink successively. The charging time for one battery is approximately 1 hour and 36 minutes. After fully charged, the four Battery Level LEDs are off. Detach the charger after charging is complete. If you’re a Mavic Pro user, you may have come across the occasional issue where your battery won’t charge or show any lights. While this can be frustrating, there are a few things you can try to fix the problem. First, make sure that the charger is properly plugged into an outlet and that the cable is firmly connected to both the charger and the battery.Camera quality has always been the strong suit of DJI, and they leveraged it well in both the FPV and Avata drones. The DJI FPV comes with an image sensor that is the same size as that found in the DJI Mini 2. The Avata, being a filmmaking-centric drone, comes with a slightly larger image sensor. Many people are intrigued with these drones mainly because of the concept of FPV flight. This is actually understandable – the experience of FPV flight is amazing and something that cannot be adequately described with words. Both drones offer a premium FPV flight experience and are ready to fly off the shelf. This is great for those who just want to experience flying in FPV but do not want to have to build a drone completely from scratch. Just comparing the appearance of the DJI FPV and DJI Avata makes it obvious that these are two very different drones. Both these drones appeal to smaller drone markets that have so far been underserved by the large commercial drone brands – FPV drones and CineWhoop drones.

But the DJI FPV drone battery is not inexpensive. Though it does come with a built-in intelligent battery management system that keeps tabs on the juice in real time for more worry-free flights. Therefore if you are using a patch antenna, that’s where you should mount it too (on the #3 port). If the patch antenna requires two connectors (such as the X-Air), you can mount the other connector on either #0, #1 or #2, it really doesn’t matter.DJI has made several changes to the transmission technology of the DJI FPV to make the flight experience as responsive as possible. The switch from analog to digital transmission, combine with OcuSync 3.0, reduces latency without sacrificing transmission range. The drone supports dual-frequency transmission with a maximum 50-Mbps bitrate. Maintenance prompt still exists after following the abovementioned charging and discharging instructions twice consecutively The batteries of both drones are designed as the DJI standard “Intelligent” flight batteries. This means that the batteries have self-discharge functions that activate when they are kept in storage for a prescribed period, making the batteries last longer. You can actually wear your glasses while using the DJI FPV goggles, and I find no discomfort in doing so. But if you must, you can get these corrective lenses for your DJI Goggles according to your eyesight. These are also known as “lens diopters” in Fatshark Goggles.

Since the drone is geared towards the DJI FPV Goggles V2, the new DJI FPV Controller V2 doesn’t have a phone cradle for attaching a phone. This is unsurprising because you will always get the best experience from FPV drones when flown wearing goggles, as opposed to trying to view the camera feed on a phone or tablet. But it might have been a nice option for those wanting to use the DJI FPV as a traditional drone. Sport mode is a hybrid of the 'Normal' and 'Manual' modes, offering some of the maneuverability of the latter with some of the safety features of the former. Just to give you a flavor of the different modes in terms of speed, 'Manual' mode is capable of up to 87mph (0-62mph in two seconds), 'Sport' mode can reach speeds of up to 60mph, while 'Normal' mode is a much more modest 33mph.

For example, many LiPo batteries will turn red when they are low on power and green when they are fully charged. Some batteries may also have a multi-colored LED that changes color as the charge level increases. It is important to note that you should never leave LiPo batteries charging unattended as there is always a risk of fire if something goes wrong.
