Other Famous Chelsea Football Players Shirt Jersey Numbers- Chelsea Football Players Shirt Numbers, Tiemoué Bakayoko since 17/18, Ruben Loftus-Cheek (16/17), Bertrand Traoré (15/16), André Schürrle (13/14 – 14/15), Claudio Pizarro (07/08), Njitap Geremi (03/04 – 06/07), Graeme Le Saux (89/90 – 02/03), Craig Burley (90/91 – 96/97) Hazard ended the year without collective honours, but he was named the PFA Young Player of the Year to go with his Chelsea award, as well as being voted into the PFA Team of the Year again. Hazard's 2014/15 season

It was obvious why. Littered among some jaw-dropping individual performances were a spate of big-game goals. Hazard counted Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and PSG among his victims in 2013/14, and the Belgian’s brilliance ensured we went close both in the Premier League and the Champions League. He scored 17 goals in 49 games. Hazard’s best performance for Chelsea? Nevin detached from the macho-man world of football by attending the gigs of indie bands and devouring NME. Hazard switched off by becoming completely engrossed in his family life. Olivier Giroud since 17/18, Loïc Rémy (14/15 – 15/16), Romelu Lukaku (11/12 – 13/14), Yuri Zhirkov (09/10 – 10/11), Wayne Bridge (04/05 – 08/09), Ricardo Quaresma (08/09), Albert Ferrer (01/02), Gabriele Ambrosetti (99/00 – 00/01) Better was to follow, as he was named in the PFA Premier League team of the season on four occasions, scoring at least 13 goals every season except a disappointing 2015-16 campaign, and creating dozens more with his electric dribbling and astute eye for a pass. He was a thrilling player who Chelsea fans adored, and neutrals loved to watch. Still, in true Hazard style he managed to produce the campaign’s most indelible moment, a stunning equaliser at home to Tottenham that was celebrated as much in the East Midlands as it was at the Bridge, and was voted our Goal of the Season. How many times did Eden Hazard win the Chelsea Goal of the Season award?

Hazard and Antonio Conte

While the number 11 shirt evokes a sense of flair and flamboyance, the player that has spent the most years wearing that digit for Chelsea in the modern era was famous for the less glamorous side of the game. Tammy Abraham (18/19), Diego Costa (14/15 – 16/17), Demba Ba (13/14), Paulo Ferreira (08/09 – 12/13), Scott Sinclair (08/09), Lassana Diarra(05/06 – 07/08). Scott Parker (03/04 – 04/05), Valerio Di Cesare (01/02 – 03/04). Tore André Flo (97/98 – 00/01) Antonio Rüdiger since 17/18, Branislav Ivanovic (07/08 – 16/17), Glen Johnson (03/04 – 07/08), Christian Panucci (00/01), Dan Petrescu (96/97 – 99/00) By the 2021-22 season, when Real triumphantly claimed a La Liga and Champions League double, he had become an afterthought. Kenedy (15/16 – 17/18), Marco van Ginkel (13/14), Raúl Meireles (11/12 – 12/13), Scott Sinclair (09/10), Arjen Robben(04/05 – 06/07). Roberto Di Matteo (96/97 – 01/02)

They were very big shoes to fill, but 110 goals and 75 assists for Chelsea had demonstrated Hazard's ability to consistently excite and exhilarate at the highest level. Aged 28, he was theoretically in his prime, and the move to Madrid was supposed to signal a glorious conclusion to his career, filled with goals, assists and trophies. Cesc Fabregas spent five years alongside Hazard at Chelsea and gushed: "When Hazard has the ball, you expect something to happen and the rest of the players come alive. I cannot say he will be the best player in the club's history, but he is the most talented player they have ever had." Lukaku is far from struggling at Chelsea, but he could certainly use a player around him right now that knows him inside and out, and one that could get the very best out of him right now. That man would be Hazard. As in 2014, 2015 and 2017, Chelsea fans chose Hazard as their Player of the Year, and his fourth success was a record-breaking tally in the prize’s prestigious history. His team-mates voted for him as their Player of the Year, too, so he achieved the unique feat of winning all three club awards in the same season. One final flourish Hazard had fun linking up with new arrivals Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas. Indeed the combination play between that trio, as well as Oscar and Willian, was some of the finest witnessed at Stamford Bridge. When it wasn’t coming off, Hazard would more often than not provide the spark, as proven by his heavy involvement in four consecutive narrow away victories between February and April, the type that win league titles. He scored at Villa, West Ham and Hull, and then set up Fabregas’s late decider at Loftus Road.Well personally for me, my favourite player was Arjen Robben. Why? Because even though he was only at Chelsea for two seasons. The number 16 shirt for me is still my favourite.

Adept with both feet, Hazard has explosive pace, great technical ability and can change a game with a turn of pace or a dribble. In 2007, his first full season in French football, he won the Young Player of the Year award (National Union of Professional Footballers) becoming the first non-French player to win the award. The following week Hazard netted the only goal against Man United at the Bridge, and fittingly it was his header in our next home fixture, against Crystal Palace, that sealed the title. However, because it effectively stopped Tottenham winning the league, it's that goal in 2016 for me. Wonderful, if a tad nasty.
