About this deal

Whether dehumanising and demonising certain groups such as trans and other LGBT+, immigrants or refugees, actively spreading misinformation such as anti-vaccination and other conspiracy theories – these ‘talking-points’ are intrinsically linked to the harm faced by many, and not only entrench it but contribute to it. According to the Manchester Mill, Christian complained to the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education, an independent university ombudsman, who upheld the university’s decision to exclude him. In Manchester, on the 25th March at 1pm, outside the University on 188 Oxford Road, Students Against Tyranny will be rallying against institutionalised Marxism. But, why? What do you think appealed to Hans Scholl about the Hitler Youth? What was the “mighty upheaval” that later took place in him? What caused it? What choices did he make? In 2012, the University of Manchester still encouraged debate and public discourse among its students. One of these students was a person who went by the pseudonym John Christian, who had just started his undergraduate studies at the university. Despite keeping a low profile, he excelled academically and graduated four years later with a first-class master’s degree in theoretical physics. His outstanding academic record secured him a place in the university’s PhD program, where he continued his studies.

Seemingly very aware of the police presence, and as I found out from later conversations, informed by some unpleasant past experiences of ‘kettling’ (a police tactic used to contain protests) – the counter-protesters eased the pressure and slowed the pace. The A580 East Lancashire Road is a major route travelling in and out of Manchester. On an average day 50,000 vehicles travel along this route. Source: Salford City Council. Please note the date for the first, brand new 'East Lancs Connection' Greater Manchester-based themed outreach. Our first topic will be a familiar one of which there has been plenty of recent activity locally; we look forward to seeing you there. ❤️On the 13th September 2021, after seeing his success, UNN (Unity News Network) anchor, David Clews, arranged for James to come on his live to do an interview about his plans for Students Against Tyranny, in the live one of those plans discussed was to have Student Representatives, an idea which, for the most part, they have succeeded in. [4] Students Against Tyranny have so far got 47 Student Reps in universities stretched across the UK. [5] Not too long after this, an article was written about James by Wales Online, though they didn't mention him by name. The article was titled "University of Wales Trinity St David's warns that students spreading Covid misinformation could face disciplinary action". [6] The article states that the first year student has started a group "urging those aged between 15-21 to not get jabbed" and that the university "condemns" the actions of this student and that people should get "vaccinated." James later responds to this article by saying that he's not "antivax" and that he's instead "pro medical choice." For a while, things continued without too many issues, and John carried on with his coursework. The next major thing that happened was John continually being banned from things, such as the Christmas meeting, certain PhD talks, etc. The excuse that was given was, “well there’s a history of people being upset by comments that you’ve made” alongside other excuses such as “if people see you, they may get triggered, which would impact the working environment.” They would use that reasoning as essentially a shield to openly discriminate against him. On October 20th 2021, James was asked to join Voice of Wales and become a part-time reporter, under the condition that his priority is Students Against Tyranny, James agreed and it was announced over Telegram. James has since worked as a reporter for Voice of Wales, and has done many videos ranging from the DVLA strikes, to discrimination, to Remeeces Music Video "BOOSTAH".

It will be a celebration, but also come prepared – if you’re worried about being outed, you should probably cover your face, and if you’re worried about heated interactions, you should probably stay away from the edges of the protest.” People would frequently come and ask me questions about all kinds of things, and always, political, of course. People would ask me about what I think about Donald Trump, Nigel Farrage, David Cameron. ” noting the subject would always be something of a ‘hot topic’ within the world of politics at the time. “I thought people were genuinely interested to know what I thought about things and I was quite naive so I didn’t really realise what was going on.”It’s a story that resonated with him as a student facing disciplinary proceedings at his own Swansea University. Now, Harvey was in Manchester to seek ‘justice for John’. John remembers another accusation where he’d apparently said women are too stupid to do physics. A female student had asked John, “if women are not discriminated against then how come there’s less women in physics?” Before continuing, I would like to add my two cents here, equal opportunity doesn’t correlate to equality of outcome. People have free will, they decide what career they want to venture into… offering equal opportunity wont change that. Men and Women are biologically different, men tend to go into the higher paying jobs like maths, science, etc whereas women tend to go into the lesser paying jobs. The entire team would like to thank everyone for their support thus far and if you would like to help fund our next big idea, then please head over to: https://www.studentsagainsttyranny.com/donate/ He insisted that his use of such language was to describe the “public display” of sexuality “in front of children”. In his speech Harvey characterised John’s story as one of a student who was expelled for “wrongthink” – having opinions contrary to what the SAT describes as a “Marxist-based left-leaning education system”.
