polished the servo/battery box with Meguiars plastic polish as well as the remaining window glass - worked a treat though the windows are still very yellow - but shows it's age! Unfortunately the front bumper broke - on inspection it was carrying a very old injury! So I made one out of aluminium. I'd also read that the chassis flex can stress the shell so I made a strengthening plate out of ally, and shaped it so it matches the sills on the shell. I'm really pleased with it This 2010 version Sand Scorcher has been carefully updated while maintaining the original features of the chassis such as the unique front double trailing arms and rear torsion suspension. R/C fans hearts will definitely race when they see the classic VW Beetle shape and relive the dynamic performance of this machine.

Originally released in 1979, the R/C Sand Scorcher was greatly received from fans around the world with its humorous form and superb mechanism. Still a couple of bits to do - I need to make a sunroof, and will fit the exhaust from the rere bodyshell I have. Also I would be interested in Alloy rims for her, can someone point me in the right directions as to where to find these? I'm hoping to be able to tap into the strong following for the brand here in Hong Kong, so I hope I can find most items locally. Re: the sport tuned motor, I have the RZ motor ( I believe this is the higher revving motor compared to the other which low RPM but higher torque) for my Dark Impact build. Would the standard set-up take the extra power of the RZ or should i go for the RT motor instead? I have a feeling it might not be that simple, but I thought I'd ask...
