So at 19feet (6m), you will probably need to look into getting an active or optical cable my friend. At that distance, passive HDMI 2.1 will still work, but not at it's full capability. Here are a few options: Going from copper to fibre or hybrid fibre is all about running higher bandwidth signals over a long distance - the good thing with hybrid fibre is you can easily go out to 20 or 30m, which may give you options as you plan out your cable route! Fibre (sometimes called Active Fibre) carries everything on the optical cable so does require the additional conversion - which can make for slower and less consistent handshaking and source switching. Ideally Fibre ‘distribution’ would mirror the systems used in commercial applications but those are currently very expensive looking in a Residential install.

Standard and High Speed are two grades of the 6M HDMI cable which are tried and tested to various performance metrics. While a standard 6M HDMI cable can transfer a signal of 1080i for 15 metres, a High Speed 6M HDMI cable can transmit signals of 1080p for 7.5 metres. Hybrid Fibre cables combine copper conductors (carrying the low bandwidth Comms and signalling signals) with Optical Fibre (carrying the High Bandwidth video and audio signal) - that means no conversion of the signalling signal (to and from optical) which we find makes for a more reliable system. I don't have my projector yet, but would like something 4K capable, as this cable seems to provide.At 6m (18') I'd try a Premium High Speed HDMI cable first depending on the diameter of your conduit. 4k HDR work fine with passive Premium High Speed cables. Deep colour is a name given to monitors which can exhibit a vast range of colour than the traditional televisions. This is possible due to the gigantic size of palette which offers millions, billions or rather trillions of colours. Ah OK. So solid core twisted is OK, but stranded twisted is not?' - CAT cables consist of four pairs of conductors where the pairs are 'twisted' to avoid interference on the very low voltage signal the cables are carrying. Thanks Joe. What's the terminology I should be looking for here exactly? The Ruipro one doesn't say 'hybrid fibre', just 'fiber'. Is that the same thing? What about 'active optical', like this AOC one? It has detachable connectors.

thing for 6 meter, as others mentioned you need to have optical cable and they is still not guarantee it will work. The HDMI 2.1 spec says that you can do up to 50 feet BUT it will have signal loss and degradation, so they recommend staying in the 15-20 foot size to get the best use of the spec. Unless I cut a huge chunk out of my studwork, I'm limited to 25mm. Even double that wouldn't take some of the cables I've seen, given how chunky and long the connectors are. I have a conduit about that size in my bedroom, which I channeled into the wall... it was a job to get the cable in and out of that, which is just a straight run, no bends. I will have bends in my new room, as the projector is at the other end of the room, so cable will run up the wall and along the ceiling, then down to projector.I'm looking for a 6m HDMI cable, which is on the edge of what's acceptable I'm aware.
