I was excited to try this stuff out because I’m a fan of Dr. Jart and having more sunscreen on hand, but unfortunately, it’s gonna be a no from me, dawg. And similar to other products in the line, there’s a very low concentration of tiger grass extract. It evened out all areas of discolouration and redness and left our skin looking clear and glowy, but as if we weren't wearing anything on our skin at all and didn't feel overly rich on the skin.
Ultimately I think this product mostly did what it was supposed to do, if not to a super-noticeable degree. I am prone to patchy redness, which the Cicapair does seem to mute. The description says it will “restore fatigued skin,” and while I don’t think it made my complexion look less tired, that also seems like a lot to ask of a cream, given the global circumstances. Bottom Line: Another cream from the Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass collection that contains a high concentration of niacinamide and a very low concentration of tiger grass extract. We’re beginning to think that Dr. Jart should rename this collection as their “Niacinamide” products, rather than calling them “Cicapair Tiger Grass”. Why? Well, the theme we’re noticing is that the product formulations include high concentrations of niacinamide — which is great, don’t get us wrong — yet very low concentrations of tiger grass extract. Green counteracts red, which is why it’s often used to conceal spots and areas of redness and in this case, blur imperfections too.
Throughout the day it maintained a weightless texture, so much so that we did accidentally go to bed without taking it off because we forgot we’d applied it hours earlier. Providing coverage akin to a sheer foundation, our skin looked so much clearer and happier as a result of its neutralising qualities, so for us, it’s convinced us to put down the full coverage foundations in favour of this lightweight alternative. Overall, we think that most of the Dr. Jart Cicapair products are formulated well, primarily because most of the formulations contain a high concentration of niacinamide.
