The reader doesn’t get to explore much outside the information that is available to Rae, but that’s what makes the plot line interesting. However, I think the amount of lore was adequate given the fact that this book is an erotic novella. ☾ what i liked about this book A friends-to-lovers dark romantic comedy full of murder, chaos, and spice, unlike anything you’ve read before.

While reading, I was definitely reminded of Mystic Falls (The Vampire Diaries), Forks (Twilight) and Gatlin (Beautiful Creatures), so if you like books that seem to have a depressed blue tint on them (in a good way), Her Soul To Take is definitely the book for you. The supernatural elements in this book where well done and they didn’t feel like they were done out of convenience.I’m used to Harley writing books that are about one tenth of the size of this one, so my demands for more have finally been met. Through Rae’s relationship with Leon, certain information about Hell is available to the reader, and that shows that the world building has potential to be expanded upon.
