I wrote many plays, songs, poems and stories for my pupils and the school. But, it wasn't until a school's inspector read some of my work and encouraged me to publish them, that I even considered becoming an author.If you are looking for a different version of this, let us know by using the 'Make a Request' tab above and we will see what we can do. The story is essentially a conversation between the celestial bodies about Mother Earths concerns for her future and the reassurance she gets from Moon and Sun. Our Mother Earth Colouring Sheet features a lovely, hand-drawn image of Mother Earth showcasing earth in all its glory. This resource makes for a brilliant addition to a lesson on nature, the environment, recycling, and more. Your learners will love bringing colour to the image and displaying it proudly in their classroom or at home. Earth Day Recycled Bottle Top Fine Motor Skills Activity - Encourage recycling with this fun fine motor skills activity. Mother Earth shares her worries for the future, but is reassured by Moon and Sun that ‘she might not escape unscathed but she can still be saved’. Mother Earth Day is an annual international day to celebrate our amazing Earth, and share the message of the importance of reducing climate change and protecting our Earth from human destruction. As part of our Wonder Days theme week, I have planned a range of activities, with videos, photos and PowerPoints to help give you ideas.Simon Taylor is a watercolour artist from the same town as Claire. After reading her stories he decided to move into illustration. They work closely together to bring the stories to life. Claire and Simon love visiting schools to talk about their work and do educational activities with the children. In the classroom, the ideas and issues raised in the book would provide a primary classroom teacher with a wide range of teaching and learning opportunities, either as starting points for discussion or to support deeper investigation and research which could then provide material to be used across a wide range of curriculum areas.
